Whether you sit down to a heaping plate of Aunt Beaut’s pan fried chicken or opt for our Chef’s pick of fresh fish daily, know that here, our cuisine extends well beyond delicious: it is truly good for the soul.

Located in the heart of uptown Charlotte with a mission of bringing hope to those most in need, King’s Kitchen is a non-profit, southern-inspired restaurant that doubles as a ministry to give hope, dignity and a warm meal to those most in need. Dine well knowing that each meal purchased directly contributes to a free meal to our homeless neighbors as well as job training to give others a new lease on life.

Great place for a group and good food. I would recommend for any team dinner, especially on a weeknight. Nice enviroment.

Wonderful southern hospitality and home cooking! Enjoyed the open retractable windows on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Will definitely return soon.

We visited for a birthday celebration, and The King’s Kitchen did not disappoint! They had a special birthday menu, which was a nice touch. The service was great, the food was delicious, with big portions for the price. Can’t wait to dine here again.

The food was amazing - tried multiple appetizers and for dinner had the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and the summer corn salad. Also sampled several desserts. Everything was fantastic and our server was attentive and very friendly. Will definitely go back!

First time to King's Kitchen and we loved it! The food was outstanding and the service, even while we could tell they were busy, was attentive and food and drinks arrived quickly.

Had dinner here before attending a play at the Belk Theatre. The restaurant is in a great location in uptown and has a nice layout and atmosphere. The food on the other hand is is not what I would consider true southern food but more "corporate" southern food. Had the fried chicken with mac and cheese. While the chicken was moist, it lacked crispiness and flavor with hardly any seasoning and the mac and cheese was on the watery side. Overall service from the hostess to the server was very good.
