A warm welcome from our team will greet you at The King's Head. Once inside, you can expect a cracking pint, a glass of lovely wine or a G&T at the bar, along with some delicious classic British dishes from the kitchen.

The pub is much bigger than it seems. To the pub's rear is a charming dining room, lovely outside seating, and a grassed beer garden.

Sunday Lunch was OK but no more. A shame as I heard good things about this place. The meat servings were small and the roast potatoes well over done. Other veg fine and service OK but requested mint sauce never appeared and we were given unordered stuffing that the waitress insisted we had ordered. Think from the trip advisor comments that we must have just got a bad day.

We had a lovely Valentines meal at the Kings Head. The food was delicious and the chef here really majors on flavour in sauces and all the ingredients. The potato Rossi was the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the U.K., and the chicken supreme had a lovely texture and flavour as it was very good quality. The escalopes starter, the fish was very fresh and the jus they were in tasted of interesting flavours of honey and paprika. The chocolate and caramel dessert was just the right sized treat to round off the meal. The waitress was lovely and attended to our every need. If there is a criticism I would have liked to have some vegetables with the main meal. Otherwise the attention the chef pays to flavour is exceptional.

Flat iron chicken was delicious but enough for 2 people! Always enjoy coming to this pub. Comfortable place to meet elderly friends every few months. Not on our doorstep but definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

Great staff, wide and varied menu. Great value for money. Crunchy batter on the fish, lovely sausages and smooth creamy mash. Accommodated our party with food allergies and disabilities. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service and food. We decided not to have dessert beforehand but quickly changed our minds.

Went for Sunday lunch. Delicious food (pork belly melted in mouth). Excellent service.

We have enjoyed the Kings Head before and this visit simply endorsed our view from previous visits. It has now become our preferred destination for meals.

Service and food good but I did request a quiet table and found ourselves fairly crammed in with a large group of very noisy people. Behind us was the walk through so had our chairs constantly bashed and felt we were in the way. The bar had a group of men one was very drunk and swearing as we arrived AND as we left. It was our first time here and hadn’t been out with this couple before so didn’t want to make a fuss but felt a bit embarrassed that we’d suggested here for our evening.

We have eaten here lots of times in recent years and were looking forward to their "£12 Tuesdays" lunchtime menu. The burger was lovely but the Sea Bream did not come as advertised with barely any vegetables (a teaspoon of chopped leek & spinach, when it's advertised with a side of fine beans). Also the aoli was replaced with a veloutte, but this was more like a ladle of weak pea soup which swamped the rest of the meal. We did complain but only received a standard "I'm sorry this was not explained when you ordered" platitude. This IS a lovely venue but there s occasion was definitely spoilt by an undersized meal. I would rather have paid for a proper side of veg to ensure the meal was enjoyed as per previous occasions.
