The stately looking former manor house, is set back from the road in acres of grounds surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Our Restaurant offers an unforgettable dinning experience alongside a traditional bar and large garden area. Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats using innovative and modern cooking techniques. During the summer holidays the outside bar and kitchen is in full swing from noon til late. The pub warmly welcomes families and children have their own menu and the safe, enclosed garden and play area is perfect for youngsters to let off steam. The 4 guest bedrooms offer stylish relaxing ensuite accommodation, perfect for a special getaway, overnight stay or weekend break (dog friendly).

This was a special meal, and we clearly chose the right venue. It’s never easy to say goodbye to dear friends , however the relaxed environment and lovely food made this a little easier. Would love to return on their next visit to the UK.

So glad to see this pub back on top form. We had a good meal and the staff were excellent. The manager Jess is particularly attentive so all in all we are so happy to recommend it once again.

We had lunch . My wife's gluten free requirement was managed with friendly efficiency. She had tomatoes and burr followed by a gf burger, I had carpaccio beef followedby fish and chips, all were excellent.

Staff friendly. Pricing for specials not given by staff and significantly more expensive than main menu Wine by the glass pricey. Prawn tempura very poor and salsa not a salsa at all.

The food was disappointing at best. Chicken breast was tough, chewy and dry (it was a chicken breast fillet rather than carved slices. The beef was very thinly sliced similar to that out of a packet and no choice as to how the beef was cooked.

I have eaten at The King's Head several times over the past 20 years. This time I thought the menu choice limited - very. Maybe that's because it was lunch time on a Monday (happened to be my birthday so wanted something special). Service on the slow side especially considering it was not v busy. I will check the menu on line before going back
