Very warm welcome from the staff. Went for the set 2/3 course meal. The starters were nice. Mt wife's main was okay. I was very disappointed with my belly of lamb which appeared to be pork but I might be wrong. However it was way over cooked and virtually inedible. What little meat I could find was not the best. The potatoes were burnt and the side salad very basic. An extra portion of new potatoes were not the best either. The sweet's were both very good. Surprisingly we were not asked if the meal was okay whilst we were eating. Unfortunately we will not be rushing back, which is a shame as the staff were lovely.

Beautiful interior, very clean , loved it , staff very accommodating, locals friendly Food was beautiful, well presented will definitely return soon .

We went for the 3 Course lunch Duck and Gooseberry starter Plus a Soda Bread Roll with honey Pork with stow berries Crème Brûlée Every dish a delight Don’t take my word! Give it a try

The staff were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and tidy with plenty of space. The food was plentiful and really tasty. The prices were very competitive to other places within the vicinity. Overall it will be a place I will visit again in the future

The Kings Head has been on our to do list since its refurbishment. Last night we finally made it ! The premises have been extensively refurbished to a high standard, looks smashing !! Our welcome was warm and friendly and all the staff we encountered were a pleasure to chat with. The menu had a number of dishes I’d have happily tried, so there is something for all. We felt unhurried and the food was delicious !! Overall a great experience, well done to team Kings Head and to the staff behind the scenes!!

Read about Brunch in MuddyStilettos so booked for Saturday. Place was quiet with helpful staff.Menu kept simple and we ordered Eggs Benedict and eggs royale with added salmon. The food was beautifully cooked and hubby declared that it now beat the Hotel Victoria, Holkhams offering. I couldn’t disagree. We ordered two flat white coffees which appeared in smallish cups and tasted like a creamed cappuccino and was luke warm. At a cost of £4.50 a cup, I thought was excessive and offered poor value for money. This was the only drawback and hence one star less. Otherwise if brunch is an example of the food then you will not be disappointed. There is plenty of parking and if you are looking for a comfortable overnight stay the rooms look amazing.

Lovely lunch as usual - a real gem of a place, with friendly staff and fresh, nicely cooked food. The menu de jour is good value, though popular menu choices do sell out which does restrict choice a wee bit. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely meal everything was really tasty service very friendly. As we stayed over night we had the full English breakfast DELICIOUS!!!
