After 6 months of opening we have been awarded a Culinary Rosette by the AA.
Come and visit the newly refurbished hidden gem in the Surrey Hills. A perfect place to visit for some drinks, a snack or a full 3 course dining experience.
We also have 3 beautiful rooms to let, which have been awarded 4 stars, also from the AA and a coffee shop to stop by on a walk through The Surrey Hills.

Pub with excellent food and an interesting and extensive menu. Service is efficient and friendly. Definitely worth the trek. Only drawback is the lack of parking spaces.

The food here is very good. There were three of us and all starters and mains were excellent. I wanted to try their burger but unfortunately the annoying British health and safety police dictated it must be cooked through and I prefer medium rare- so I went for the rabbit medley which was very well put together. The service was sketchy and unbelievably slow given the place was almost empty but the other issue was a total lack of knowledge about anything on the menu.

Lots of non meat choices which was very agreeable. The setting is lovely too. Staff very friendly..

Excellent steak, really tender and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately Hendricks gin came with lemon rather than cucumber. The waitress checked with the kitchen but they had no cucumber.

An attractive pub with personable staff. I am not sure that the Harvey's bitter was quite up to scratch but the small seating area between the two restaurant rooms made up for any deficiencies whilst we waited for the menus. The menu falls nicely between good pub and fine dining but not quite reaching the latter end of the scale. The wine list is good and reasonably priced with the Tohu New Zealand Blanc to be highly recommended. This and another wine on the list suggest that Taurus Wines are likely to be their supplier, in which case, you would be pretty safe with any wine on the list. My wife and I both enjoyed an impromptu lunch and I would happily return again if the opportunity arose.

Food quality and service was very good. One of the mains did not match the menu, but this was addressed when pointed out.

What a lovely pub, had Sunday lunch. Food was amazing. The staff are all friendly, helpful and always asking if everything is ok. I thoroughly recommended it

The pub is in a beautiful rural setting with a friendly and comfortable atmosphere inside. However, my wife and I were dis-appointed with the food and service, as it was far from a “Fine Dining Experience” as stated on the website. We were the first in the restaurant, early on Saturday evening, the waitress was not aware of the selection of alcohol-free beers (only 2), and had to retake my order as the Peroni I ordered was not stocked. She was also not sure what the pie of the day was. We both ordered the “Gourmet sea food pie - £19” for our mains, but again the waitress had to come back and apologize as the chief only had one portion left! I ordered the “Cod, paprika and nori mosaic - £22” instead. When the mains arrived, both were tepid in temperature and small in portion size, served in oversized plates. My cod was very small and lacked seasoning. My wife’s “Gourmet sea food pie”, was not a pie, but some sea food in a lobster favoured source, with piped mashed potato on top. Both dishes were overpriced for size and quality of the food. We did not stay for dessert!

Went for a Sunday walk up to Leith Hill - booked lunch as the reward for walking 5+ miles Great service lovely table and the Sunday and puddings were fantastic.
