Fabulous breakfast on our doorstep! Faultless ! We will be definitely back …… Buck’s Fizz, bloody Mary’s, smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and local Mangalitza Cumberland sausages. The best! Truly divine breakie x

Inviting pretty outside area with soft furnishings, which we used prior to eating inside. The restaurant/ bar is tastefully done with a cosy friendly atmosphere which is also dog friendly. The menu was full of delicious dinners,small bites and sides...we all had something different and all our dinners were delicious. A comfortable friendly place to go after a walk in the valley

Both my friend and I ordered the specials. One was fish which I had which was lovely. My friend had the special Thai green curry which she loved too. Great atmosphere and lovely attentive staff.

Looked forward to walking to our local but very disappointed. We was left feeling that we was not welcome, the food was ok but my pie had a bout 2 mouthful of mash potato, and for the price was not acceptable. Then halfway through the meal it was like sitting in a karaoke bar with very loud singing and shouting and the volume on the speakers rammed up so we could talk to each other When the Kings arms was going through its renovations we was very supportive. But as a local feel very much that we was not welcome

I booked our table 6 weeks in advance and added a 7th person 12 days before. We had wonderful lunch for 7 of us for our 40th wedding anniversary with our family. The food was excellent and the service attentive. My only disappointment was that we had booked for 12.15pm but were told on arrival that the table was then booked for another 7 people at 2.30pm. This rather spoiled our celebration as I kept having to look at my watch. I note that in Open Tables terms and conditions a table of 7 can have 3 hours which would have been plenty.

Dear Penny, I'm glad to hear that overall your experience with us was good. However I am very sorry that you were disappointed with the allocated length of time on your table. I understand that Open Table T&C's allow tables of 7 to have 3 hours, however the table due in at 2.30pm would have been booked before any changes to your booking were made meaning the allocation time would still be 2.5 hours. Next time please feel free to give us a call and we can make sure the allocation time is better! We do hope that we can welcome you back soon to enjoy many more celebrations. Really nice meal. Pub has been really beautifully renovated, the food was really good and our waitress was excellent.

Excellent service, great nibbles,especially cod roe and pork bites,brilliant seaweed crackers,lovely beer,just slightly underwhelmed by pudding
