Lovely location and the pub is very stylish, great ambiance. We brought friends from America and they loved it. It’s not the cheapest but the food is excellent, very good range of low/zero alcohol drinks. My only small criticism is it’s not always clear from the menu that spicy/chilli flavours are present. Once realised they were very accommodating.

Decided to try the new offering of breakfast at the Kings Arms - it’s very new, so in fact we were the only table in there! That said, the service was excellent and welcoming - the food was amazing and incredibly generous and I am sure if that remains consistent, we will be struggling for a table in a few months time!

We arrived on time, but it was a mission to find a parking space. It's an average looking village pub which belies its interior which is very nicely fitted out, rustic style. We were promptly shown our table and offered water or to order a drink, after about 10 mins we placed our orders - One Fish & Chips with mushy peas and one Chefs Pie (chicken & Mushroom) with mash and some kind of cabbage. It was well presented but I wouldn't say I liked the taste of the mashed potatoes very much, and the fish batter was VERY crispy but all things considered - very tasty. We didn't have starters or pudding as it was all a bit pricey (we checked this out before arriving so we knew what to expect). But a fillet steak for £40? No thanks. I had a draught beer which was ok and my wife had water. It was a pity that the whole restaurant/ Pub smelt like cabbage and was a bit off-putting (was it the drains?). Overall it was a nice enough experience and the staff were attentive, , but I don't think we will be going back any time soon.

Fabulous breakfast on our doorstep! Faultless ! We will be definitely back …… Buck’s Fizz, bloody Mary’s, smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and local Mangalitza Cumberland sausages. The best! Truly divine breakie x

Inviting pretty outside area with soft furnishings, which we used prior to eating inside. The restaurant/ bar is tastefully done with a cosy friendly atmosphere which is also dog friendly. The menu was full of delicious dinners,small bites and sides...we all had something different and all our dinners were delicious. A comfortable friendly place to go after a walk in the valley
