I had booked for bar seating but we were placed in the dining area. We had come for happy hour but they told us the dining area doesn’t do happy hour. The server said they would move us to the bar area but then told us they could give us happy hour prices if we just stay in the dining area. The bill did not reflect the happy hour prices. We did not want to bother the server by calling out the mistake as she was so nice.

The wedge salad and tuna tartare appetizer were delicious and very large portions. Excellent service and great value!!

Placed a reservation at The Keg and specifically asked for a booth with more quiet seating; The reservation was a dinner discussing family matters (and specifically chose The Keg for this as well) and I had emphasized the need for a booth. The reservation was made on a timely basis and not a last minute request. However, the restaurant looks like it doesn’t take into account specific notes and placed us right in the open and very close proximity with multiple parties. We were uncomfortable (and steak was cooked quite well-done than our requested medium rare), but the service was nice.

At my last visit, my friend and I ordered our usual, a bottle each of our favourite wines. We are usually there over 4 hours or more and enjoy our time catching up. On this occasion the server questioned us on whether a bottle each was too much for us. Then when he brought our drinks he ‘told’ us that we shouldn’t be driving or he could cork what we don’t finish. We explained my friend was on the TTC and I had ubered and was ubering or TTC home. We ordered appetizers and mains. I was advised that they had run out of cauliflower mash (this was at 6:30pm). Food was standard. After being there several hours we ordered another glass of wine each and wasn’t asked what size, a small was brought to us. Once we’d finished our meal we settled the bill and went to the bar which is what we normally do to finish off the night but we were told by the bar tender that the manager had told him we could only have 1 small wine and then we are cut off. At no point in the 4 or more hours that we were there were we rude, loud, obnoxious or disrespectful but we feel we were very much picked on and made to feel like kids doing wrong. We are 50 and 65 year old respectable and responsible women. Whilst I understand there is a duty of care and responsibility but I don’t appreciate being treated like a kid.

We were a litle disappointed with the service. It was sporadic at best and very difficult to determine who our waiter was as different people kept appearing. Food was good but on this evening not up to the excellent standard that the Keg has set in the past.

If you want to have a conversation don't sit in the bar area. Also if you have someone with a walker or difficulty doing stairs make sure you tell them so they don't make you have to climb stairs. We watched them make an elderly man with a walker climb stairs when they could have easily taken him to a table that was on the ground level. So tone deaf

We waited longer than usual for initial service. The mushroom neptune was over broiled, not at moist and tasty as usual. My plate was very hot but my prime rib was not. My husband's 10oz filet mignon medium was under cooked. Overall, we still enjoyed our meal, as usual, and will go back.
