Food was fantastic! It had been a long time since I went to the Keg, but want to go back again soon. My only concern is I saw someone having a hard time going up the stairs to enter the building...not sure if there is a different entrance for people with mobility issues.

All okay, food and service satisfactory. Only complaint was that we had to wait and stand in the lobby before we were seated. We stood there and looked at our table, we should have been seated as soon as we arrived.

We arrived 2 minutes early and let the front desk know we were there. We were asked to wait in the waiting area. After about 5 minutes, we were seeing other people arrive and being ushered to their tables. We thought maybe they were just late and were ahead of us in the queue. This went on for 15 minutes until I approached the desk and asked when we would be seated. The staff member said we hadn’t been checked in yet. Next, my wife’s steak was well done when she asked for medium. Lastly, the waitress gave us the wrong bill which we noticed after we had paid. The manager came out and dealt with the mixup. Our actual bill was about $30 more which was fine as that was what we ate but not even a thanks for being honest or any sign of gratitude. A $165 meal (with no alcohol) should not be so taken lightly by the nonchalant attitude and unprofessional behaviour. I have been better treated at Burger King for a meal for two costing under $30. Really disappointed as we only go out to a ‘nice’ restaurant once or maybe twice a year.

Service was very slow and even absent. We watched the neighbouring server bustle around taking care of her patrons at many tables. There food and beverage arriving in a timely fashion. Meanwhile we still had a table filled with wine glasses, no water and no offering of bread. I went off to look for the server as if he had completely forgotten about us. We moved the glasses ourselves, asked another server for water and finally placed our order. We ordered everything at once, but our server said he would wait 5-7 minutes to place our meal order after appies to give us time to enjoy. Seemed like a good plan until either he forgot to put that order in or the kitchen lost it?!? Anyway we had all finished our cocktails and our appies, watched the neighbours that arrived after us enjoying their desserts or paying their bills. I was up and on the hunt for our server again, the dissapearing act was getting old. The SAVE the manager came over, apologized for the apparent kitchen error and payed for our first round of drinks (3 beer, a glass of wine, a cocktail and a ginger ale). 75.00 removed from the bill. The food was amazing as can be expected, hot fresh and delicious, or maybe we were just that hungry by the time we got our food ;) Dessert was also complimentary for a birthday celebration. The Billy Minor yum! Go to calamari, lobster tail dinners, fillet mignon all cooked to perfection. So glad the manager came through after the frustrating dining experience to restore our faith. We will be back sure for many more occasions.
