I made a reservation for my husband's 50th birthday. It was a very special occasion as we drove in from out of town to celebrate. I made sure to mention in the reservation that it was his big birthday. I guess that doesn't make a difference as there was no mention of a special occasion by the server or host, or any suggestion of birthday dessert, etc. The food was ok. My steak came overdone, but I didn't say anything as the server took a while to check on us and I wanted to eat with the rest of the party. Everyone else's meals were fine. I was a little disappointed as we chose your establishment out of all the other ones in Banff to celebrate his big 50th and it didn't feel special at all. The server was very unfriendly, and we sensed that he felt like he was doing us a favor by serving us. A few times we felt he was down right rude and inattentive.

Usually the Keg in Banff is wonderful but we were disappointed this time. Our server was very good, none of what was wrong was his fault. I ordered my steak medium but it was rare. I asked for a certain cocktail but couldn't get it because they were out of one of the ingredients. So we were disappointed.

The welcoming host wasn’t warm or overly pleasant so we were concerned about how the night would go but once we sat down it all turned around. Patrick was our amazing, attentive and personable server! He made our dining experience a great one. Food was delicious.

Food quality is good but in terms of service we had better experience in crowfoot branch. We noted a special occasion in the booking and did not get the Keg Cake. Not planning to comeback again.

We dined on a Wednesday evening, just my husband and I I. We started with the tuna tartare app which was good, not great but since I have a dairy allergy, choices were a bit limited as usual. My husband had the pistachio crusted salmon and I had the ny strip with vegetables. The vegetables were absolutely amazing and my steak was prepared as I ordered, which is a,ways nice (med. rare). My husbands meal was also delicious as he said the mashed potatoes were really good and the salmon was prepared perfectly and a nice sized filet. The restaurant itself feels a bit tired but the food and service was wonderful!

We always enjoy The Keg wherever we are in Canada. The Caesar Salads are terrific. I always enjoy the prime rib. This time my serving seemed awfully small for 10 oz, but it was served as ordered. The best deal is to order the Keg Classic dinners.

We enjoyed dining at the KEG Steakhouse. The Salmon and Prime Rib were delicious. The waitress was very attentive. Good place to eat.

i came here for my husbands 22nd surprise birthday dinner!! he loved it and we were very happy with our experience here! food was fresh, amazing, and steak were cooked to perfection
