Attention: Please note that all reservations made will be located in our inside restaurant, our tables located in our large pub garden, bar area and covered garden room are available for walk-ins only.

Voted the nation’s favourite family pub, our 18th century village local on the Norfolk coast serves real ales from our microbrewery Brancaster Brewery, home cooked wholesome food, great pub classics including Jolly Smokehouse specials, local seafood, stone baked pizzas and ice cream from a garden beach hut (and not forgetting the largest selection of rum on the coast!).

we use this pub once a month for date night so when we saw the" steak night " come up we thought lets go. so to start off we ordered a steak each to be told no sirloin at 1830 on a steak night, so we both had rib eye, one with fries and salad the other with fries, tomato and a few mushrooms. drinks came and food about 20 minutes later, the well done was well done, the fries were the best part of the meal, the salad was swimming in dressing and was a mess. there was one small tomato and i expected a steak mushroom for a steak night? the blue steak was rare and no blood, the plates were not heated up so my steak went cold quickly making the big lumps of fat in the steak horrible so they were removed and left on the side of the plate which we took home for the dogs as then at least they would be happy. we got asked when the food arrived if it was ok then even when our drinks glasses were empty no one asked if we wanted a refill. in the end we gave up and left having to walk to the bar to pay and still never got asked if the food was ok. we wont ever go back for steak and will stick to their pizzas which are good. we never complained at the time as we went to eat together and having waited for food did not wish to sit separately eating whilst the food issues were dealt with. for £32 each it was over priced and rubbish

A really top notch Sunday lunch! Perfectly cooked and well presented, lovely tender meat, crispy roasties and Yorkshire pudding

Fabulous meal early evening. Good food at reasonable prices. Great children's menu. Our granddaughter, who doesn't like chips, was thrilled to learn she could order mashed potato! (And ate every scrap). Service was very efficient and friendly. Will return

The team were really welcoming and friendly! Food was good. We had mussels and were really good, same with the burger and salad. Overall a lovely place to go

Great place to go with family. The menu has a great selection of options to suit everyone. The staff are super helpful and friendly. It gets busy so would recommend booking.
