Voted the nation’s favourite family pub, our 18th century village local on the Norfolk coast serves real ales from our microbrewery Brancaster Brewery, home cooked wholesome food, great pub classics including Jolly Smokehouse specials, local seafood, stone baked pizzas and ice cream from a garden beach hut (and not forgetting the largest selection of rum on the coast!).

Visiting Norfolk so I booked a table several weeks ago. So glad we did as the premises were packed with people attending a live music festival. Great atmosphere, lovely people and very friendly professional staff. The food was superb and very large portions. Really enjoyed our visit and hope to revisit during our holiday.

Wonderful service on what was an incredibly busy day for the pub. Food is basic pub grub but really good quality. Ambiance and service made it fantastic. Great value too.

Welcoming, relaxed and casual, a great place to eat after a busy day on the beach. Being dog friendly we were able to eat inside, but we’ve visited before and eaten outside. The food was excellent both in quality and taste. Service was good too. We will certainly return when visiting this lovely part of the world.

Recommended to visit this pub for the great beer in particular. However, nothing special on the pumps the evening we went and apparently had no bottled beer either! So disappointing. Waitress had no clue about the beers available and no idea if they had any bottled beers either. Food was good, but the pizza I wanted wasn’t available either! Obviously no-one monitoring either the beer or food situation! Such a shame.

We booked a table for 2. We were delighted with the quick service and friendly staff. The meal arrived promptly and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend this pub for a great place to eat.
