Our ladies’ brunch went quite well. It was lovely having the attention of 2 servers. The hummus and beignets appetizers were amazing, as was my Espresso Martini!!

The salmon was good but very skimpy on the vegetables. I told Open Table we were celebrating my son ‘s birthday but there was no complimentary dessert. The food was tasty. The portions were on the small side. We needed to order sides to be more satisfied. Wish we had been advised on the very light vegetables served with the entrees. My husband ordered extra sauce but it wasn’t brought to the table until he was nearly finished. Overall The Jimmy is one of my son’s favorite restaurants in Charlotte.

I absolutely love The Jimmy and have been here once before. Their food is always so good and sitting on the outside patio is nice! This time was no different, the burrata was amazing and we got two pasta dishes - the tagliatelle and the rigatoni. Both so flavorful and the perfect size. The only downside going this time from previous was that out server seemed to have disappeared and no one came back to our table for almost an hour. Eventually we had to ask another waiter for the check. Despite that, I would definitely go back and would still recommend because the food is so good!

My favorite restaurant right now. Very good food, competitive prices. Always enjoy our servers. Very helpful and attentive.

Always a solid choice. Friendly staff. A nicely balanced menu with something to please everyone. Pastas are particularly good, and perfectly cooked . Wine list includes well-chosen French and Italian selections, including more than the usual suspects. Some great stuff from Cinque Terre and Sicily, for example. A nice covered patio for outdoor dining in good weather. My only critique: parking in the lot is sometimes difficult when hours overlap with Reid’s, and the popularity of Selwyn Pub next door often makes it difficult to find a spot on the street.

I love the jimmy! But this experience was not the greatest. Our server was wonderful but the hostesses were a bit disappointing. It is always freezing in this restaurant , and we had an early reservation with my parents so it was going to be a quick dining experience. We asked to sit outside and the hostess said it would be a while to sit outside even though there was a table for 6, we had 4, available and two two tops they could have slid together. Then we asked if we could sit inside on the side table and push two two tops together. The hostess said no they had a “lot of reservations tonight”. Yes we know, we were one of them. But it was 5:15 and we were done by 6:15. We only wanted a table there as it was in the sun and I had old folks with us that would have appreciated the warmth. That table sat empty the entire time we were there as well as half the other tables. When we entered the restaurant we were the only ones inside as well. I feel like with a reservation and 30 bucks a plate, we could have sat there for the hour . The food as always was great and the waitress was good. But the hostess stand could use some coaching for the prices the Jimmy charges. Not fine dining but not mid range either. It won’t deter me from going back but in any empty restaurant I’d expect to have a choice of a table when you make a reservation for an early dinner on a weekend.

A friend and I had dinner at The Jimmy on a Thursday night. Everything was exceptional. Our server, Alisa was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We had the octopus to start. It was slightly charred, and those fingerling potatoes were outstanding. Prima, I had Cacio e pepe (my favorite) with a side of mushroom confit. I don't need to tell you that Noble cooks vegetables like no one else. The mushrooms were meaty and the sauce... SO GOOD. My friend enjoyed Strozzapreti. She raved about the dish and finished every bit of sauce with a nice chunk of bread. There was no room for dessert, but the Aperol Spritz went down quickly (I had two). My friend is from Italy, so she doesn't visit Italian restaurants, so to say The Jimmy is her new favorite is quite a testimonial. I cannot wait until my next visit.
