This was the loudest restaurant I ever ever been too, if we weren’t waiting for friends we would have left, You were basically screaming in the bar area to be heard, had to go to the table, not much better, Beet salad no flavor. Crab cake was good, Had to ask waiter several times for salt, wine and another drink.

It's deafeningly loud, they tried to switch the wine we ordered with another (much cheaper) bottle without telling us and it's way overpriced.

7:15pm reservation for 5 adults seated upstairs. Beautiful decor, exceptional service! Food was good and well priced but noise level was unbearable upon entering and during meal. Would love to return but not until noise level issue is addressed.

Overall great experience except for noise levels down stairs at the bar carried upstairs to almost uncomfortably loud. Food was on pare with most steakhouses. Service was excellent from hostesses to bus boys. Mentioned was our anniversary when booking and got a card and glasses of Prosecco Very nice touchWe will be back.

Great dinner at the James. Service was on point. We had a great booth. Love the vibe & decor. We had a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a side of the potato gratin. Steak frites & profiteroles for dessert. Highly recommend

As you walk in the sound hits you like a brick wall. On the plus side our server was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about him. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. My wife and I both ordered the Filet, hers medium rare and mine rare. Hers came out almost raw. We mentioned this to our server and he brought her plate back to be cooked a bit more. Within minutes the plate was returned and it was essentially the same. Disappointing. For dessert we shared the chocolate cake. Again disappointing as there was almost no flavor. We dine out frequently and certainly understand that new restaurants have growing pains. But at this stage they certainly should have done a much better job. We won’t be returning any time soon.

I had an incredible dining experience at The James! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Every dish we tried was outstanding, with fresh ingredients and flavors that were perfectly balanced.
