Beautiful renovation of a previously dark and tired place. Downstairs is very French bistro whereas upstairs is upscale steakhouse vibe. Bar area is very open and bright. Drinks were a bit inconsistent but not bad. Wedge salad was outstanding and husband enjoyed his steak tartar with homemade(I believe) chips. The croissant crusted flounder was enormous and came only with sauce. Waiter didn’t offer sides which would have been nice. Or halve the fish portion and serve it with sides. The duck breast was cooked well but it was cut in half right down the middle rather than being sliced. A very weird presentation but perhaps it is just me. The place is still new and likely working out some kinks. We will go again but would probably order different mains.

The james was an exceptional dining experience. They made our friend’s birthday extra special with a champagne toast and card. Door was amazing. Presentation amazing. Service amazing, our waitress was excellent, The Gm checked on several times and was so warm and friendly. One of the owner also came over. It was a very wonderful experience and we will be back there often.

Waiter (kyle) was very good as were the other staff. Cocktail glass had a chip in it and sent drink back. Bartender should have seen it. Menu has standard fare and nothing really seemed special and jumped out as an item to try. Crab cake taste was ok and yet needs more lump crab meat. Ceaser salad was tasty. Steak cooked as ordered. Chocolate cake for dessert was very good. Given the prices, expect restaurant to be better. Surprised to be charged for cocktail given the glass had a chip in it and needed to be thrown away. Not rushing back.

Went for the first time with my husband for a celebration dinner. When we each ordered a glass of wine, the waiter asked if we wanted a bottle. We said no, only wanted one glass each. When the bill came I noticed we were charged $12 more than we should have been for a glass. When I asked our waiter about the extra cost he told us he always gives people the 9oz pour instead of the 6oz when they order a glass and hopes they don’t notice, but if they do he’ll refund them the difference so offered to take off the extra $12. I can’t believe he told us that. Pretty shady. If he does this all the time then I’d have to assume the restaurant knows about it. The food was delicious, but that sure put a damper on the meal. Don’t think we’ll be going back, but if you go make sure you specify what size pour you want and check your bill.

From the start, our waiter was knowledgeable friendly, and a pleasure to have. The drinks were great appetizers and the main course was fantastic. Since this was our first time there we didn't know what to expect but I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who likes dining out.

First time here, the food was good but our server got our drinks and appetizers wrong. And I don’t like when there are food runners bringing your food out because for each course that came out to the table it was placed in front of the wrong person. For what we paid I would expect better.

Overall, the experience was just ok. Quite noisy and in my opinion, pricey for what you are getting. The signature cocktails were full of ice and at $20 per drink, not acceptable. $52 for a small piece of halibut and a side that was inedible was also unacceptable. We won’t be going back.

This is a beautiful two story restaurant. The bar downstairs is spacious and very pretty. We ate upstairs where the decor was a mix of barn and chic. Our waiter Carlos was personable and very attentive and one of the owners, Andrew was around to make sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious . We started with oysters and a beet salad. My daughter had the classic beef Wellington and the meat melted in your mouth. My husband had the duck which was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had a halibut special and the fish had a perfect crisp to the outside. Definitely will be visiting again.
