This was our second time going to The James. Our first experience was when it first opened and we were disappointed in the food as it was bland. This experience was terrific! The food was amazing and quite a difference over our first experience. I really wanted this place to work out because we live nearby and dine out often. We are so happy for the improvements. Everyone loved their dinners! Our only “complaint,” is the noise level. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. Other than that, everything else was great…the ambiance, the service, the food! We will definitely be returning!

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with a smile! We had a party of six and sat upstairs by the fireplace. It was a bit hot but they were gracious enough to turn it off. The noise level was a little much but not to effect our experience. Our waiter Christian was attentive, patient and answered any questions we had and there’s nothing better than having a server who is pleasant!! The food!!! So delicious!!! From the Seaford Tower to the Steak we were happy with it all! We were warned the prices weee a little hefty but we didn’t feel it was any different from other restaurants we go to. We will definitely be back!!!

I’m local and waited for my birthday to go. They were amazing from the time we walked in. We had a drink at the bar…three courses for dinner and drinks outside after. We were never rushed and everything was delicious. Thanks so much for being my new solo “go to”

Drinks weren’t good. The crab was terrible. The steak was good. The service was very good. The vibe was nice but overall I wouldn’t go back again big disappointment compared to Arlo.

We decided to go out to dinner to the James as we had received information that during the month of November on specific days they had a mid week special for $59.00 PP Pri Fix Menu. The selections were excellent, the food was amazing as was the service. The ambiance was just very upscale and it has a real feel good vibe. The service was impeccble as well. I would recommend this to anyone for a very special occasion!!

Everything was absolutely amazing. Took a risk on some choices that we wouldn’t normally order. But we ask and trust the waiters judgement and she didn’t steer us wrong. Ana Besy was the best and will definitely be back to try other things!! I will be talking about this meal for a while! Thanks again! EVERYTHING WAS DELISH!

My wife and I were looking forward to a nice dinner and were surprised when the person at the desk did not great us with a smile or acknowledge us until we gave our name and then simply said "someone will be with you shortly." We were impressed with the decor but found the atmosphere to be quite loud inside. The waitress was polite, but not very attentive. We ordered from the tasting menu (price fix), and we wanted to try the crab cake from the regular menu. We were surprised when they brought out the crab cake with our salads and it was cold. I ordered the pork chop that was very spicy and several times my water glass remained unfilled despite asking several different staff members for water. The food was ok (chop seemed dry and overcooked as was my wife's salmon). The tasting menu includes cheesecake for dessert that was brought out to the table immediately after they cleared the table of our plates, and they never asked us if we wanted anything else like an after-dinner drink or coffee. The check came soon after and it seemed like they were rushing us out.

Server was excellent food was great! Bar staff were super friendly. We will definitely go back. Maybe they could change the elevator music.

Beautiful restaurant, great food, bright open bar and excellent service. The only downside is that the Dining room tends to be a bit loud.
