It wasn’t for us, I’m afraid. The crockery was very nice and the staff were mostly very pleasant. We had the tasting menu without the wine pairing. The first two things to come were very tasty, but it all went downhill after that. The grain dish was absolutely awful and the butter was so salty it was untrue. The remaining dishes were also extremely salty and other than salt had no other flavour that I could detect. We actually declined the last two dishes because the food was so awful. The bill came to £313 and it was a complete waste of money. When the waiter asked us if we enjoyed it I politely gave him my feedback to which he was extremely ungraceful and rather than saying that he would take the comments on board or pass them onto the chef. He gave me a barrage of information about how award winning the chef was and how the dishes are tested on the staff. All I can say is that if the chef has won awards it was not with the food that we were presented with as it would not have won any awards I’m afraid. We won’t be going back and I don’t think they want us back anyway.

Outstanding service. Friendly informative and efficient. Terrific tasting menu. So interesting. First course was extraordinary. From there on, one surprise after another, all to a very commendable standard. In all an incredible experience. The flavours were out of this world. We will come again.

Literally the best gluten experience of my life, staff are amazing and they even wrote a birthday card for my friend! 12/10 I'm never going to forget the food experience that they provided.

My wife and I enjoyed an 'end of holiday treat' and ate some of the best food of our lives! The 'Bread of Heaven' was probably our favourite dish. If only we lived nearer to Conwy we would come more often.

Only a tasting menu was available. This was well-balanced with most of the dishes being extremely good. All courses were at least very good. Service was friendly and informative.

Our first time having a taster menu and Jackdor did not disappoint. My husband and myself were a little nervous prior to the evening, but we enjoyed every mouthful and the whole experience of fine dining. The staff were so attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and wow the food and wine was outstanding!!! We thoroughly enjoyed what was a celebration of 10 year marriage. I will be recommending this quaint little place to all I know.

Nice tasting menu except the bread course in the middle of the serving was far too much and we didn’t like the accompanying beer from the wine flight. Overall food was lovely, fairly plain ambiance and slightly disappointing the chef didn’t come out and introduce himself at the end of the serving. The waiting staff were excellent and introduced each course informatively.

Absolutely outstanding menu - flavours sublime - just perfect. Service also perfect at all levels - constantly present without being intrusive. The perfect destination for the best culinary experience in North Wales!!!

Delicious food, amazing service. You get what you pay for, loved celebrating my friend’s birthday there, would highly recommend. Was a little nippy though, so next time I’ll bring my coat!
