Welcome to The Jack Russell Inn. We provide luxurious and homely, dog-friendly accommodation and local food that celebrates great British produce with a focus on the conservation of the outstanding natural beauty and wildlife of our surrounding areas. Our Landlord Ross, his two trusty canine companions Barnie and Betty and the entire team look forward to warmly welcoming you to The Jack Russell.

The Valentine meal was well balanced in flavours as well as choice. Compliments to the chef for an excellent meal

A delightful valentines meal, food was lovely - lamb to share was delicious. Service is always top notch.

We really felt let down by the service. Very busy due to Valentines and we saw 3 members of staff and no management. We were a table of 7 so not insignificant cost and no one came to offer us a drink for 30 minutes and even the water confirmed at seating did not arrive without being chased. We asked for a bottle of white wine, did not arrive with the rest of the drinks which finally arrived after chasing and so asked again and eventually got told you didn;t have it! Food was good but birthday event spoilt by the slow service. It you book out for Valentines day you should have staff to cope with the covers.

Staying 3 nights. 1st night. Great start. Food and service were spot on. Lovely restaurant with a completely natural feel. Great atmosphere for all family. We will bring our dog back!

A great menu of delicious dishes. Easy to choose from as all are banging…popcorn cauliflower is absolutely 10/10. Can’t wait to return. Service was excellent as always. Well done all at the JR
