It was our first time there and we wanted the best view so we were seated on the outside seating under a nice heater. It was a great experience. The menu is not very large but my hamburger and my husband's lamb meatball sandwiches were very good. I also got a couple of cocktails and although small, were very unique and very tasty! We will be back!

I truly like J.parker...I have visited on several occasions but find that the drinks are lacking. I have visited several different rooftops that have a great view and cocktails that are just as great. It's just a suggestion that maybe your mixologist work on their skill set. The view is stellar.

I visited J. Parker for an early dinner with my mother on Sunday, expecting the usual upscale experience with the stunning view across from Lake Michigan, but what we got instead was an absolute disaster. First off, I ordered an “OnlyFans Martini,” which tasted spoiled and was undrinkable. I immediately sent it back. Then, after placing our food order, it took 20 minutes for the server to inform us that they were out of veggie patties. Why even let us order something that’s not available? We reluctantly switched to chicken sandwiches, which then took a ridiculous 35 minutes to arrive. The restaurant wasn’t even busy — we got there at 4:10 pm, so this was an early dinner, and there was no excuse for the delay. When the food finally arrived, it was laughably poor. The chicken sandwich tasted like a dry, flavorless knock-off, nothing like the quality I had enjoyed here before. A Chick-fil-A sandwich would have been a step up from this sad excuse for a meal. To make things worse, I asked for an extra cup of ketchup when the food came out, and no one ever brought it. Our server vanished, and I had to hunt down the host just to get our check. Speaking of the check, this was another ordeal. He brought it three separate times because of multiple mistakes. First, he tried to charge us for the martini I sent back. Then, the second time, he charged us for both the veggie burger and the chicken sandwiches — even though we only got two entrees in total. On top of all that, every time the server came to our table, he reeked of weed. It was unprofessional and disgusting. J. Parker used to be one of my favorite spots, but the atmosphere no longer matches the service or the quality of food. For a rooftop restaurant in Lincoln Park with views of Lake Michigan, you’d expect so much better. This place has gone downhill, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

By far one of my favorite rooftops I’ve gone to within city limits! We were seated right away, and were given a perfect booth table to celebrate our friend’s doctorate! Honestly, it was so peaceful (even with the DJ) that we didn’t notice we were actually sitting outdoors!! The service was a little late getting to us the first time around, but the wait for the drinks was absolutely worth it! 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be back!!

My recent experience at J Parker featured excellent service from Devante, who was attentive and courteous throughout our visit. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the manager on duty. While enjoying our cheese and crackers, the manager raised concern about a drink my server rang in by mistake, which was the first time I’ve ever been approached about a situation like this his approach was rude and with an unsettling racial undertone toward our server. This interaction left a negative impression and overshadowed the otherwise positive aspects of our time spent. I hope the hotel addresses this issue to improve the overall guest experience.

I had an amazing bottomless mimosa and brunch experience. The J. Parker has been one of the best rooftops I’ve been to in Chicago. Everything was a 10/10. I went with a group and we had such a fun time!

Why I would never go to J Parker again: 1) Food below par. Got the chicken sandwich, chicken was pink. 2) staff preferred to talk amongst themselves instead of attending guests. 3) way too long a wait for food (waited at least 30min for churros. Long wait for each course ordered. 4) poor service overall, staff in extreme rush even when restaurant had only 1-2 tables occupied. The person attending our table left before I could even complete my sentence.

Felt extremely rushed even though it was empty, waiters were extremely curt and the cocktails were just okay. Seemed like folks only come here for a first date due to the food and not an actual place to return to as a regular.

Service was good. The ambiance was nice. Food was just okay. The morcilla didn’t taste fresh. The cinnamon roll for the French toast also didn’t taste fresh.
