    Terrible service. Wouldn’t dine at this particular Ivy branch again due to this.

    The service was very poor, which detracted from the whole experience. Our waitress was sullen and uninterested in our table. While taking our order she was gazing off around the restaurant and not paying attention. We had to remind her to bring the wine we had ordered, as well as the ice we’d asked for. We also sat with dirty plates in front of us, for longer than I would expect in a restaurant of this supposed calibre.

    Lovely meal with great service. Two of our number were late but they let us stay and we essentially had two sittings!

    A very pretty and lively ambience. Convenient location in SoHo… Food was solid and the menu was varied. Unfortunately, the service was only fair, just as we were warned in the reviews. Our server was minimally pleasant when taking our order and was agreeable when we told her we were going to the theater so we needed to order right away. But, after waiting for our food for approximately 40 minutes, she said it would be out any minute and then return with the menu to tell one of our friends that they had just run out of the entrée he had ordered. At this point we had no time and were just hoping our other three entrées would arrive and we could share with him. Two entrées showed up about eight minutes later and the third one showed up five minutes after that. We wolfed down what we could in a few minutes and paid the bill while we were eating in order to get out in time. Although they removed the cost of the entrée we never got, they did not comp anything at all for our trouble which we thought was bad form. If you have plenty of time and are not worried about feeling welcome, it is a decent choice but be warned re: the service.

    Great service and a wonderful place to be with beautiful decor - it feels posh but it’s possible to not break the bank here. 13.5% service charge seemed a little crazy.

    I’ve booked the table outside in order to enjoy the summer evening. The constant banging of the plates and cutlery behind our backs made it impossible not to jump every 10 minutes. Rose vine which was £50 per bottle was brought warm! After we requested to bring a chilled one, we got pretty much the same… Food was ok, nothing special. Oh and the toilets… wow, no paper, mess on the floor.. I won’t be going back there soon for sure.

    The staff were really helpful and courteous. Great sense of responsibility. I had the blackened cod which was delicious and the smoked salmon starter which was presented beautifully in a Smokey bell. Good coffee before and after the meal as I had travelled down from Oxfordshire. Thank you

    Poor service , poor ambience , everyone crammed together and had to chase for everything. Food sat waiting because servers were not available. Not what you expect from the Ivy. Will avoid in the future.
