The newly opened Ivy Royal Windsor is the latest gem in our modern-day brasserie crown. Located close to Windsor Castle, it is the perfect place for locals and the visitors who flock here to see the changing of the guard ceremony, to enjoy delectable dishes and celebratory drinks.

In light of Windsor's rich royal heritage, beautifully designed interiors are brimming with elegant touches. Delicate shades of red and gold feature on sumptuous soft furnishings and in the finish of our sophisticated central bar, while pretty jewel-like colours can also be seen in stunning murals and carefully-curated artworks. Very bad experience. The host who greeted me said that tables are on first come first serve and then I asked to be seated at a window so she denied and said that’s for VIp customers only ! And said that means there are others who get a preference over you. She was very rude to my mom. And gave us a table right at the entrance. After that a group of 4 teen girls came in and she seated them there!!!! So why even take bookings through open table ? Also the desert the classic frozen berries had 2 pieces of strawberries and blueberries- rest was only red berries! Compared to the other ivy restaurants it was average! Our waiter was sweet and served us well!

The Ivy has an amazing location right opposite Windsor Castle, we were lucky to have a window seat with that view. The service was excellent, the food first class and the menu choice was vast and it’s hard to decide what from the lovely menu you will have to eat. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We were very pleasantly welcomed into the restaurant by two young ladies; the restaurant itself was well laid out with a classy art deco style and ambience. Unfortunately, our experience was tainted by the lack of professionalism of our waiting staff that felt it appropriate to serve us throughout the sitting while constantly having a mouthful of food themselves and substituting words for pointing as if they were directing traffic. Unfortunately, the arrogance and unprofessional service ruin our experience. Furthermore, the authenticity of the drinks that were prepared were questioned by several members of our party. We are reluctant to return.

Great experience as usual… however I am disappointed that points were not added to my Ivy rewards app. I gave our server my Ivy account number. however he must not have put it on the booking as i’ve earned no points or cash back on the app.
