The newly opened Ivy Royal Windsor is the latest gem in our modern-day brasserie crown. Located close to Windsor Castle, it is the perfect place for locals and the visitors who flock here to see the changing of the guard ceremony, to enjoy delectable dishes and celebratory drinks.

In light of Windsor's rich royal heritage, beautifully designed interiors are brimming with elegant touches. Delicate shades of red and gold feature on sumptuous soft furnishings and in the finish of our sophisticated central bar, while pretty jewel-like colours can also be seen in stunning murals and carefully-curated artworks. The Ivy Royal Windsor's all-encompassing menu lists delicious modern British and international Ivy-inspired classics, as well as show-stopping desserts, new-season cocktails and afternoon teas fit for a queen.

During my recent visit to Windsor, I had the pleasure of dining at The Ivy, and the experience was nothing short of exquisite. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that our every need was met promptly and with a smile. The food was absolutely delightful. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors and beautifully presented. It was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and skill into their creations, making our dining experience unforgettable. The ambiance of The Ivy is equally impressive. The vegan menu at The Ivy is varied and interesting. All courses were superb - would recommend.

We had afternoon tea. Nice venue but food was disappointing in both taste and quantity. Very expensive for what we got. Not enough savouries and the cakes were pretty tasteless although presentation was impressive. Staff were friendly but as the venue filled up we began to feel forgotten! Other venues for afternoon tea often offer refills of sandwiches and cakes offering much better value for money but not here. Will no go back to The Ivy for afternoon tea again. Shame all round as it was a birthday treat for my daughter ..

We enjoyed our lunch at this very busy restaurant opposite Windsor Castle. We requested, and were given, one of the quieter tables. The servicer we received was excellent. Friendly ,efficient and engaging with us. The meal - shared tempura prawns, followed by steak/ chicken mains, and finished with apple tart and coffee accompanied by some enjoyable Malbec / Merlot, was good if a bit pricey - approaching £150 for two. Will we return yes when visiting Windsor.
