    I had been given a token to spend at the Ivy for my birthday and so booked for lunch on a day we were going to the theatre. The 1917 menu, available through the week, is really good value and the setting is lovely. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent.

    They Ivy did a great job on a romantic dinner for my fiance and I after my proposal. They congratulated us upon entering and set us in a nice corner table. The food was great including the cocktails we ordered and they gave us a complementary dessert (their wonderful chocolate bomb!) Can't recommend more. We are a LGBTQ couple so the treatment is even more appreciated. :)

    A birthday celebration, unfortunately a dreadful meal and service. not what we have come to expect. Cold starters that were returned. 1 of 5 main courses arrived 5 minutes after 4 of us had finished their main meal. I suspect a new member of staff that had had no training. No commentary at the table regarding the birthday celebration, again this isn’t the norm. We won’t be going back.

    I love the Ivy but this was not the Ivy at its best The service was haphazard and hesitant; the food inconsistent- eg overcooked sirloin and the cost with a hefty service charge made it a very expensive two course lunch for my family.
