We had an absolutely wonderful high tea this afternoon at The Ivy in Oxford. Three wonderfully prepared finger sandwiches (cucumber, smoked salmon and chicken salad in a brioche roll) plus two other plates of pastries, puddings (especially yummy), a madeleine with a fabulous chocolate sauce, and undefined but delicious other pastries and puddings. Topped off by delicious warm fruit scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam (fresh strawberries were presented but out of season). High tea for two was more than enough for dinner, and considering the price (33 English pounds each) we were pleased to forgo dinner tonight. Service was friendly and attentive. Give The Ivy five stars for a great experience of a typical English high tea.

Lovely meal which was very tasty. We had the 1917 menu. What made the whole experience though was the comfortable seats, the beautiful decor and the attention to detail (ivy embossed serviettes). We also enjoyed visiting the toilets which are just stunning! We are already planning a return visit for another celebration soon.

VIP reception as you come in. Attention inside superb. Drinks and food excellent. Decoration beautiful. Brilliant overall.

From the hostess to the server, everyone was so friendly! The food and tea was also fantastic. We did afternoon tea. So much food! The restaurant itself was also beautiful.

We had a wonderful family celebration at The Ivy Oxford tonight for our upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. It was an experience we will remember for a long time because we were made to feel very special by the staff and in particular our lovely waiter Raoul.

Dinner with friends visiting Oxford. The service was first class from the outset with our server being very attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. Food was excellent with the highlight being the Shepherd’s Pie main which most seemed to opt for. Ambience and overall experience was very good.

The restaurant is beautiful the food and service were not great. The burgers tasted like charcoal and the fish and chips were soggy. The zucchini frites tasted like soggy flour.
