We went for afternoon tea and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. We each got a beverage in addition to the tea service. They served a lot of food

Had to wait a few minutes for our table but worth the wait. Service very good, food excellent would highly recommend.

Service in general was ok initially. Asked for chicken Milanese without Parmesan. Got it with Parmesan after waiting 40 mins and also with Parmesan breadcrumbs after the waitress forgot to tell me that it was also included to then top it off when I said take it back the service got worse and no offer of desert or even the service charge removed or considered to be removed! Classic Christmas service! I regularly visit the chain in London, Glasgow, cheltenham and home city Edinburgh! Don’t bother! Was all a tad too Much effort for Scotlands capital City! Won’t be back and won’t recommend to my friends in other cities!

We booked breakfast for 8.30am. Several of us queued waiting outside to go in, but lady on front desk couldn’t be bothered to say they were open! Once inside, we sat for 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Other people had come in and received their food during this time. Shocking service and food was mediocre. Third time at this restaurant in Edinburgh but we won’t be back. Glasgow restaurant is much better

Slightly chaotic on arrival as our table was not ready and neither were those of other guests arriving at the same time. Entrance reception is very small and it was awkward to accommodate our buggy while we waited. Serving staff were friendly, approachable and attentive. We had booked very specific dietary requirements including one guest who is Coeliac. We reiterated and checked this several times but despite this a non gluten item (rye bread) arrived for her. The mistake was quickly rectified by our server, but this is a bad error. Overall this was an elegant and enjoyable experience, the above aspe is notwithstanding.

Very very nice place and food and service excellent. The staff were lovely. It was my sister birthday and they done a lovely birthday desert for her
