Four of us ate here on Friday 28, September, 2024. It was one of the only places we could get reservations the day before, so we knew there was a chance it was going to be a miss. Ordered 2 fish and chips, tenderstem broccoli, tomatoes, chicken kebabs with peanut sauce, creamed spinach, scallops. All of the food was meh, just barely acceptable. The creamed spinach was runny, the fish was oily and not crispy, this scallops tough, the chicken kebabs covered with a cloying sweet sauce. Our server was nice.

we had the 2 course set menu for under £20 and the food was fab!! we opted for dessert at an extra £5 and this was good! the service was great and we would definitely go again!! it was great value for money!!

Atmosphere is fantastic. Not a place we’d say “let’s go back” One and done Attended a brunch and stuck to the brunch menu: Bloody Mary 👍🏼 haggis Bon Bon 👍🏼 Salted Crust Sourdough 👍🏼 the poached egg and smoked salmon tasted weird 👎🏼 Staff from the front (floral coats) were fantastic. Staff working the dining floor were just ok.

Nice restaurant in a great location. We sat upstairs by the window, which was great. We arrived almost 30 minutes early, and were invited to either sit at our table straight away or sit at the bar for a drink. That was nice. It is a lovely bar. However, the door to the entrance foyer was left open and the outside door was also open and the result was a howling gale coming into the bar area. Not good. I did like the place, and the staff. However the food, I would say, is pretty average and a bit overpriced. In particular there are no sides at all with the main courses so if you want any veg or chips they are extra. In summary, great-looking place, lovely service, average food.
