The Ivy est une institution londonienne depuis 1917. Le restaurant et le salon privé à l'étage sont la quintessence du glamour. Au centre du restaurant, un bar chatoyant attire les regards admiratifs tandis que les fenêtres aux vitraux caractéristiques, les boiseries en chêne et la superbe collection d'art contemporain assurent la longévité de cette institution dans la restauration très britannique. Le chef Gary Lee vous a concocté des menus de saison équilibrés, mettant au goût du jour les classiques et y intégrant des plats d'inspiration asiatiques, des salades et des légumes, ainsi qu'une section « de la mer et de coquillages ». Le directeur Fernando Peire dirige une équipe solide et expérimentée pour offrir le service sans faille qui a fait la réputation de The Ivy au fil des années. We dined on a Sunday night at 8pm and it was good food was cheaper than expected and the quality was good, I have to say I was expecting more p’zaz with the food, I wasn’t disappointed. But I wasn’t wowed. Also the dress code they quote on their website isn’t true and for me at least that kinda ruined the ambience a little, flip flops and tee shirts, especially as I put on a shirt and trousers when the temp was 27c outside! I would say 70% of the people were dressed very smart. Siting at the bar before dinner was great. The service was sporadic at times, but our waiter was rushed of his feet. Also despite being rushed our waiter helped make the night being both quite funny and knowledgable. I would return but most likely not make such an effort which I think is a shame.

The Ivy was a lovely experience, we were looked after by charming staff from the moment we walked in. Such an elegant setting and the food was as delicious as expected, the Cheese Soufflés was amazing. We had a lovely evening.

Wonderful classic timeless ...had a Sunday Roast.and Tuna Steak between halves of Cursed Child on a Sunday...food was excellent, service classic and professional, and extremely quick ... Beautiful setting

Our first visit for Sunday lunch to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and the experience exceeded our expectations. Food, wine, and service were first-class and the restaurant kindly celebrated our anniversary too. We will visit again.

Great food and service. Lovely touch with the Birthday chocolates. A first Ivy treat for our son and daughter in law and they thoroughly enjoyed the lunch.

After much expectation, our experience was a let-down. We managed to get seated 45 mins after our reservation and waited nearly another hour until main courses arrived. Individual staff were very nice, felt like the overall system was broken resulting in ‘an experience) becoming ‘a meal’

Food and atmosphere were wonderful. Service was sporadic, she was fine, but very slow, not as attentive as you would like.
