Another disappointing visit to Ivy and likely to be my last. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years. The menu has become very small as to selections. The prices are among the highest in the area, and only the view/location can make a visit interesting. However, what is the most annoying thing about this restaurant is the way they handle reservations. Once again, with a reservation booked over a month ago with a request for seating on the veranda, we were turned away and shown to an inside table where the windows are closed to keep the area air conditioned. The only excuse we were told is that they had many large groups that night on the veranda. Unlike most restaurants with outdoor dining options, this one has a covered veranda so it is able to be used even if it is raining that day. If it were open and exposed, I would understand the need to know that they would have inside space if the weather wasn't ideal. This restaurant almost always has plenty of open tables inside because most people don't want to be inside. They come to this restaurant for the ability to sit on the veranda and enjoy the view, otherwise they will make other choices. Just look a the difference with Riva in Gananoque without any river view. What they do has, is a willingness to accommodate all requests on the patio, great service, and and much more extensive menu with delicious options. Every visit this summer, even Sunday nights, are full of diners. It saddens me that I won't return to this restaurant again after 40 years, until they manage the place better, show care with their customers and their requests, and offer more choices on the menu. Such a beautiful facility with an outstanding view. It deserves better management and service to its customers who have frequented it for years.

Phenomenal evening; weather was perfect, the seating on the veranda amazing, and the food couldn't have been better. Our service was unmatched.

We waited over an hour an a half for food wasn’t that busy. No explanation.

Fantastic menu! Good sized portions, delicious food and the service was impeccable!! All that and live music on the patio below!! Can’t wait to return!

The steaks were great cooked as ordered However the chicken supreme was very spicy and there was no mention of it being spicy on the menu we had to send it back Also they were out of basic items like milk for tea, whip cream and thier main dessert crème brûlée we were very disappointed The staff were great friendly and helpful when they could I don’t think we would recommend this restaurant and not sure we would go back

Beautiful location and great ambiance. The hostess and server were friendly and kind. Unfortunately, the food was lacking. We ordered a lot of different dishes and none seemed quite right - Caesar salad, scallops, calamari, crab cakes, petit filet, chicken. All the dishes were "fine" but nothing was particular good or stood out. My husband ordered a scotch and the server did not ask whether he wanted it on the rocks. When we asked for ice, they only had ice chips instead of a large block that should accompany a drink like scotch. The restaurant is what one would expect from a yacht club type of environment - there is no competition nearby so the food can just be mediocre.
