   Mushroom and halloumi only veg choice and covered in spicy sauce and very expensive for the strange dish. Lamb was excellent

   The restaurant is first class. We always eat there when staying at Ivy House. The staff, the ambience and food are all amazing!

   We've eaten at the restaurant on a number of occasions over the years. This time we were quite disappointed. We had to sit and wait in a separate room before being taken to our table. Everyone was just sat there all looking at each other! The food was good but overpriced. We've decided next time we're in Keswick/Braithwaite we won't be dining at Ivy House.

    There was not much choice on the menu, the pictures and reviews online were fantastic which was why we book however it was missing the wow factor that we expected from such positive pictures and reviews. Just overall disappointment really. The food was ok but nothing special which was what we were after. Although the customer service from the lovely young lady 'Lorie' i believe was the ladies name. She seated us, took drinks orders promptly and checked everything was ok a several parts during the dinner. Maybe because it was between and Christmas and New Year the food service wasn't at it's best.
