Everyone was so welcoming and kind and couldn’t do enough for us. It is such a calm and peaceful place with a great atmosphere and a great team. Thank you for making our time there special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all round x

Very nice atmosphere the staff are lovely I thought I had booked afternoon tea for my friends birthday it was not the right time for afternoon tea but they arranged it for me

Food was great and the design of the place. Regarding service we were asked on arrival if we wanted a drink at the bar whilst they got the table ready - this was fine, but we arrived on time and so should have had the option to go straight to our table. The main issue was at the bar where a member of the bar staff asked my wife if she wanted to see a food menu whilst we had a drink, and when she said ‘no, thank you’ the reply was ‘that’s boring’. I am sure this was meant as humour, but didn’t really work and seemed an inappropriate thing to say. Otherwise, the food was great but they were very busy so needed to wait during the meal for drink refillls (our chilled wine was not kept at our table) and we needed to wait a while to be able to request the bill. Overall, food was great, ambience good, but staff training could be improved a little.

Very disappointed with my afternoon tea experience at The Ivy Harrogate. I did ask if I could have a change of sandwiches to Ham only. Was told there was no ham on the premises so requested chicken. Was told there would be a 5mins delay. There was actually a 20 mins delay. There was hardly any customers but there was lots of staff. Nobody came to our table and we had to wait for a member of staff to serve another table before we could attract anyone’s attention to bring our coffee. The sandwiches were served on a large plate and just laced in between us. I asked if we would be having the teapot experience watering the flowers and was told there was no dry ice on the premises. As my friend only had one type of sandwich we were told that a small side salad would be brought for her, this was then added to the bill. We only ate 2each of the deserts so was told the others would be boxed up for us both, when we arrived home and looked into the boxes the deserts weren’t even divided equally, I had 2xscones and 2xdoughnuts, my friend received 2xeach of the other 2xdeserts. I had requested that as it was a special occasion my friends 60th birthday could we have a candle in a cake to celebrate, this did not happen at all. I was really disappointed with our experience as it was a celebration of a special occasion. There was a group of staff members just stood chatting most of the time and seemed more interested in their conversation rather than being attentive to diners. I have been to the Ivy on numerous occasions but will be very reluctant to return again. Thankyou Tracey Taylor

We booked The Ivy as a birthday treat for a friend. It was a splendid place to celebrate, a super venue, excellent menu, brilliant staff and great food. I look forward to a return visit!

We have visited the ivy several time and always been happy on this occasion we came away disappointed. The menu was very limited so we chose the fillet steak it was cooked as we asked but felt the quality of the steak was stringy, there was not the option to add mushrooms or tomatoes as a side so the meal felt lacking.

My wife and I visited The Ivy in Harrogate on Saturday 20th July at 7.00pm The food was very good. The place and atmosphere was very nice. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. However at 8.55pm we were told by the waitress that we had five minutes and then we had to leave the table. At no time when we booked or arrived were we informed that we only had a two hour time slot. had we have known we would have accepted this. To be told we had to leave in the next five minutes was a bit naughty especially after having spent nearly two hundred pounds on the food and drinks. Because of this i don.t think we will be going back there.

A lovely place for a treat as expensive for what you get, menu limited. Was booked as a birthday treat & it wasn’t mentioned in the restaurant, on other celebrations they usually mark the event?

Excellent dining experience staff were exceptional with first class service. Somewhat noisy to start with. This affected my wife’s eating experience as this was due to recent surgery (brain tumour removal)
