We ordered the fried courgettes and salt and pepper squid the squid was ok. We sent the courgettes’ back as they were quite greasy. The main meal took an hour to come. I ordered the blackened cod which was very overcooked. This was changed to the sea bass which was ok but still overcooked. I had to ask for a fresh order of broccoli to come. My husband ordered the lobster linguine which he said was ok but not worth the £38 cost. The white wine was served in what I would callas beer glasses. Apparently this is a new policy. How naff. These were changed when we asked the staff. At no point did a senior member of staff enquire or apologise to us for the wait, poor food etc. The Ivy does not understand what a proper cortado is. Overall highly priced and not great customer service. Too many really good places to eat in Harrogate to risk a disappointing experience here.

Less than average service I’m afraid. And why oh why do you place all people next to each other in a fairly empty restaurant. Felt hemmed in and conversation was stilted due to the proximity of other tables

We had a gorgeous time celebrating a birthday here. The service was brilliant and the food exceptional. I would really recommend the champagne mojito

Excellent service at the table. We wanted a long lunch to talk and were left alone without any rush. Our waiter read the situation well. The guy at reception was rather aloof and made v little eye contact. Food was good and good value.

The location of the restaurant was really good, especially for tourists as it is located in the centre of Harrogate. The setting is very nice. The staff were very efficient, especially as it was very busy in the restaurant. The food was very good, especially the dessert ! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful evening. The only little hiccup was £25 for 2 glasses of Rose wine!
