    Very nice food to celebrate graduation, no issues with the food at all. Our waiter, however, was very unfriendly and very quiet, he took a long time to do the drinks order. Although it’s not the Ivy’s fault, we were sat outside in-front of the cathedral green that was full of drunken people making a lot of noise and coming over and asking for cigarettes and lighters. Due to the poor service, the value for money wasn’t great.

    Whilst the service was good, there was a lack of basic wines, that were on the wine list, available (Picpoul, Vino Verde etc..), which was odd on a Monday afternoon/evening during Graduation week in Exeter? We also asked to be moved inside, as there were numerous issues with people outside the restaurant - we were told that we would be notified on availibility of a table, but no one came back and adressed the issue with us. That said, and as already stated, the food and service was good!

    Food was lovely, service was superb! Table for 4, my wife and I and my parents, had a great time, no complaints, the bill delivered at £475. Quite a shock. 12.5% service charge automated. A lovely experience, but value in my opinion was circ £250 Unlikely to return for these reasons. If money is no object then I highly recommend

    We had a really delicious afternoon tea. Sandwiches were exceptional and loved the scones. The cake selection and general appearance of the afternoon tea i think could be more quaint, the cakes looked quite basic (although tasted delicious and the popping candy was a nice surprise) but could be more dainty/artistic. The dry ice was theatrical but unsure the reason for this? Was this to do with the theme of the afternoon tea? Service was exceptional (Amy was our server) and just love the Ivy decor and loos! Champagne was also delish!!

    Absolutely Awful meal We had three rib eye steaks cooked medium rare Two sides of truffle chips 1 sides of tendersrem broccoli and 1 x cream spinach, two bottles of red wine The bill was £300 The food arrived… The issue was the Plates were stone cold, Hence our steaks went cold within five minutes, The broccoli and spinach was cold within two minutes… Not wanting to ruin the day we just ate. When I got halfway through my steak, which was undercooked and rare in the mid section I asked if it could be returned to the grill and flash fried I was told because of cross contamination this couldn’t happen, which I totally understand. However, it could’ve been returned to Pan And flash fried. Instead, they decided to microwave it!!! Can you imagine a £30 steak grey tough because it’s microwaved. One of my friends steaks was overcooked the other one was perfect… One out of three is a 33% success rate not what I expect from the IVY
