The Ivy Clifton Brasserie is open in the heart of Clifton Village, Bristol, located on the corner of Caledonia Place and The Mall, overlooking The Mall Gardens.

Open seven days a week, The Ivy Clifton Brasserie offers accessible all day dining for local residents, businesses, shoppers and visitors to the area, and brings some of the familiarity of The Ivy brand to ceaselessly chic Clifton Village. Tables are held back for walk-ins allowing locals to drop in throughout the day at their leisure, and the menus are all encompassing, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks and dinner; not to mention a specially created cocktail menu featuring a variety of classic and contemporary selections.

The Ivy Clifton Brasserie has two private rooms: The Eastern room seats 12 guests on one long table; or 24 standing and The Western room seats 16 guests on one long table; or 32 standing.Natural daylight floods the rooms and the walls are adorned with an eclectic collection of locally referenced artwork and prints, reflecting period drawings of Bristolian architecture and business, not to mention its great railway heritage, as well as the rivers Severn and Avon, port scenes, and some eye-catching Deco images. Both rooms are available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and canapé receptions, and are equally suited to private parties and celebrations, as they are to corporate bookings, providing the perfect setting for entertaining friends, family and clients in Clifton Village.

My Wife & I had booked a table for 6pm. From start to finish we had an outstanding experience. Three well proportioned & excellently presented courses, we couldn't fault our experience at the Ivy, Bristol.. A special mention to 'our waiter' Dan, who helped us through our evening in a very pleasant, friendly & professional manner. We live 200 miles away & we were only stopping off in Bristol for a couple of nights so doubt that we will return, but we will most certainly look at other 'Ivy locations' Highly Recommended!

To begin with the service was great, the staff were very attentive. The drinks, starter ans main were fantastic. Then, the Apple tart was inconsistent with the Apple tarts I have had at the Ivy before. Toward the end I finished my wine and water on my table and still was sat there for 20mins waiting for the bill, no one came so I had find a member to ask for the bill. The member of staff played around with the till, then went for a walk to chitchat with a colleague before getting back to me to tell me the receipt machine was not working. No alternative explanation or what next was offered so I said that I have been waiting for 20mins now, can you get a manager. Matthew the Manager speedily managed to print the bill which I paid. A bit of a sour ending to what was a good start.

We had a lovely lunch. The food was amazing and the service was very good. Staff are so lovely and attentive. All round we had a lovely time and will be back.

So the lady that served us was lovely and very good. For starters we had arancini and the scallops which were beautiful. For main we had the fillet and the ribeye, however this was pretty poor. We asked for medium, but both were more like medium to well done. I’ve been here before and recommended my girlfriend to have the fillet as last time I had it here, I had it medium and it was amazing, so soft and juicy. This time both steaks were tough and chewy with lack of taste. The way they were cooked and texture of meat, were the type of steaks you’d expect to get at a green king pub. For sides we had chips, truffle & Parmesan chips, broccoli and beans. These were all lovely. Our waitress asked our reason for being there and when we told her we just got engaged she bought us over a celebratory desert which was a nice touch. The place itself was beautiful however where we were seated, a lot of staff were congregating and talking loudly and vigorously with eachother which was a little off putting. The next question your asking about would I recommend the ivy, I would but would advise them not to have the steaks and insist they are seated on a table less likely to have staff grouping around them.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. We were celebrated our anniversary that was acknowledged on arrival, which was very kind and we had a nice booth table. Great service, delicious food and drinks. Perfect atmosphere, lively but not too loud. Just perfect !

I will not be in a rush to return, it was a very disappointing visit. The service was awful, it took 45 minutes for someone to come take our order after being seated. Three meals arrived we had to wait for the fourth. When we finished the main we had to ask for someone to order dessert. Three desserts arrived but no cutlery had been given to us in order to eat. Waited over 10 mins for the fourth dessert to arrive and still no spoon in sight. It was a special occasion and this not marked in any way by the staff. The chocolate bombe dessert was very disappointing.

We went for the summer menu - which is great value EXCEPT the 'main meal' steak is £5 extra - absolutely NO problem with this EXCEPT... it really is just a steak, absolutely no veg or chips... to order chips to go with it cost £4.50... then peas... another £4.50. Come on, Ivy - that is mean. I don't mind payingfor extra vet - but to serve up a 'meal' that is just a piece of meat with NO veg is just not reasonable. Instead of £5 extra, it's actually £14 extra to have a few peas and chips with my steak. Otherwise, staff and ambience are lovely - so, please don't let yourselves down by being just a bit mean.
