Met up with 3 friends and we all loved our meal. It was a great table where we could easily hear each other and our waitress was professional but friendly too with good suggestions

everything is good but not great........there is a dumbed down quality....but overall it delivers what it says it will deliver. the most disappointing was the mojito at the bar. the bar looks impressive but the mojito is so second rate.....not minty, not the best rum, too sweet using a syrup rather than crunchy demerara sugar so it is like all third rate mojitos and not a quality product.........rather symbolic of the modern london restaurant trade.

Very hot in restaurant. Covers on ceiling oppressive. We asked to move to table near open door but were told it was reserved yet no one sat there whole evening. Staff were rushed off their feet. Wine didn’t arrive with other drinks and we’d waited 15 mins for those. Food was all excellent but a La carte overpriced as are drinks

Great breakfast, and venue. Started to get a bit noisy towards lunchtime but not their fault they are successful! Will just get a table in the corner for business meetings in future 😊 Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely restaurant, very pretty. The service started off attentively but as the evening progressed, we saw less and less of our waiter (he was still working but didn’t really check up on us). After he gave us the dessert menu, that was the last time he interacted with us. Also, it was quite warm the day we went. Surprisingly the restaurant didn’t have air conditioning (if it did, we didn’t feel it). It was also very muggy inside the restaurant. Food was okay. I’ve had better fish and chips at our local takeaway.

Oh dear, this did not go well. The reason to book the Ivy is that this is a chain with a consistent menu so one expects consistency. Today, there was none. Nothing is likely to leave a bad taste like one person's first course arriving and the other's not at all. There had been a cock-up and one of the wait staff had given one of ours to someone else. We then waited for it to be rectified, but, inevitably, mine was cold when my companion's appeared. The other thing that leaves a bad taste is badly cooked food and the halibut was horribly over-cooked and inedible. I sent it back but, in an effort to find something to eat quickly (so we didn't have the same problem as the first course), I chose a starter described as 'goats curd salad'. I am not sure what it was supposed to be, but it was a congealed mess and unappetising in the extreme. I didn't eat it. Finally, I'm not sure if the air conditioning was broken or the restaurant design is poor, but the room was baking hot and uncomfortable. So, the good things: the staff were as helpful as they could be. Our waitress was not to blame for any of the above and did what she could. The manager was apologetic and solicitous and reduced our bill close to £0. I can't fault them but would say to the group that they have work to do to bring consistency back to the Ivy City Garden.
