Ideally located between the stunning Sussex Coastline and the beautiful South Downs, the Ivy Chichester Brasserie is the perfect spot for anyone taking a break between shopping on the city's bustling high street, or the visitors who flock to see its famous cathedral and art gallery.

The ground floor includes a round bar area while the restaurant's stained-glass windows take their design cues from the history that surrounds this beautiful cathedral city. Lavish furnishings and other eclectic design touches will appeal to theatre-goers here for the acclaimed Chichester Festival. The brasserie's outdoor terrace features comfortable seating, plants and lanterns, so when it's cold outside, you can still dine alfresco.

    The Ivy is very expensive but we’re prepared to pay for special occasions if the food and service are good. We have been here 3 times before. This time the service was very slow but still £26 for service was added. Then after the billl was was paid (£233 for 2 people, no alcohol) we discovered 3 cocktails had been added that we hadn’t had..big performance then proving the point and then obtaining a refund. No one knew how to do it! Eventually advised the refund of £50 might take a week to come through. They apologised but no gesture of goodwill for this. Check your bills closely everyone!!

    What an evening… Barnaby & his team made my daughter Georgie’s 21st Birthday celebration extra special… the food, service, vibe & overall attention to detail was excellent! Loved our experience there & will be back soon… Thank you so much!!!

    Amazing decor and great vibe. Occasionally got a bit too loud to hear your conversation, but more due to being popular and busy on a Friday night. Food was amazing and could not fault it. Staff very friendly, professional and attentive.

    Two of our party dined from the 1917 set menu, which is substantially cheaper. The food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Staff had changed by the time we ordered the bill and it was lucky I checked it thoroughly as the discount had not been applied. The staff member was very apologetic and brought the correct bill quickly. However, since the same thing had happened to us in another restaurant the week before, we were somewhat concerned that not applying advertised discounts in the hope that the customer won’t notice after a couple of drinks is standard practice.
