The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

We had afternoon tea. The tea and champagne were nice but the sandwiches and cakes were terrible. The sandwiches had very little flavour and the bread was dry/stale in texture. The cakes were way too sugary, with an absurd amount of icing, and unattractively presented. The scones were ok but dry.

The experience was wonderful. The food was great. Our server, I believe, must have been new. We felt neglected. She misunderstood our order and because there were so many other servers around, they corrected it, since she was no where to be found. I'd definitely go back. I seriously doubt she will still work there.

We’ve just had the most lovely lunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden. They gave us a beautiful table in the wonderful garden, the food was delicious and the service attentive. It was to celebrate our friend’s 80th, she was delighted and so were we. Thank you !

We were looking forward to our evening - however spoilt by a large table of noisy children alone - parents in the garden! Service was very slow - we had to continually ask anyone passing for drinks etc as no one EVER came to the table. We would have had more drinks but we were effectively ignored as a table of 2. The same with the 2 tables either side of us as well. I accept it was busy, Seems to be lots of running around by staff for no reason. I am sure that Richard Caring would not accept last night! . Perhaps that’s why he is trying to sell his share as ‘The Ivy’ is no longer how he intended to be.

Lovely experience, enjoyed the vibes, the food however was not as good as used to be. Portion getting smaller and my chicken milanaise was hard at the edges.
