The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

A fabulous lunch today for my Aunt’s birthday, really couldn’t fault it. What a stunning restaurant and everyone who looked after us were terrific but especially a manager called, I believe, Sergio(?). Charming and helpful, thank you sir.

I have visited this venue a number of times and it is one of my favourite places to go. The £19.17 menu is excellent value. The food and service is always excellent.

The service at the Ivy in Chelsea is always attentive and the food is excellent. This is a lively place, so not suited for a quiet meal but it is still possible to hold a conversation at your table.

They pack customer into the garden. Do not book a table in the garden. Total waste of time. Terrible service.

We had a lovely family dinner in the garden at The Ivy Chelsea. The service was excellent and so was the food. We would definitely go again when in London.

Our table at The Ivy Chelsea Gardens was in a section that lacked atmosphere. In spite of being RIGHT NEXT to a "workstation" for waiters, the service was really poor. First our waiter offered Sunday Roast and I had to point out to him that it would no longer be available as our table was booked for 4 pm. Two of us had aperitif cocktails, which were disappointingly small (after we had visited Smoque recently). We had to ask for the wine menu to choose a drink to have with our meal (we were having starters and a main course). No-one came back to take our orders and we went without wine to accompany our food. A side of broccoli was ordered, and in spite of us taking quite some time over the first course, it did not arrive with our mains. We had to ask again as we were half way through our meal. The dish did not arrive until we had (saved) just two mouthfuls. The scallops were delicious and generous, the mains visually sparse but very tasty and fairly satisfying, the Birthday Desert was "posy" but far too sweet and cloying, as was your kind contribution of a candle-lit choux pastry (the pastry was not good). Thank you for that free recognition of the Birthday and thank you for NOT singing!!! I was dismayed to find I had paid 13.5% service charge on top of the bill because I am sure you will agree that you did not deserve it. This was my first visit to an Ivy, which I had been looking forward to. My daughter has been to 5 already, and she never found the service so poor; she has always enjoyed her visits. I shan't be rushing to come again. Thank you for the opportunity to say these things. I took a couple of days thinking about whether to bother or not. Kind regards, Janet
