The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

Great atmosphere ruined by several screaming babies . However the food was up to the usual exceptional high standard. My wife had her two favourite dishes ; crispy duck salad followed by lobster linguini . I ordered from the 1917 menu but was charged the normal price for salmon rilletes £7.50 and chicken salad £16.95 total of £24.45 making an overcharge of £5.28 + 13.5% = £5.99 . Unfortunately didn’t realise this at the time . Beware when you order from the 1917 menu- it should be two courses for£19.17 !

I’ve left my green back pack at Chelsea ivy. I’ve rung, emailed and live chatted Am awaiting a call back I dined last night at 600pm at Chelsea Shouldn’t be this hard Where is my bag? Patrick Bridgeman

A very welcoming staff. The ambience was great. The manager was very active and spontaneous. We were celebrating my granddaughter’s graduation. She enjoyed it very much. Busy place but was all under control. Would take my family there again.

Very disappointing afternoon tea for 3. Soggy sandwiches, cakes that could have been from a supermarket, no clotted cream but melting whipped cream for scones. We did not finish any of our plates and some were untouched. Slow service, ordered a bottle of prosecco but when glasses were empty they were not refilled, we ended up retrieving bottle from nearby ice bucket and refilling ourselves. Noone asked if everything was OK despite obviously uneaten plates, very busy and noisy even in the garden, a number of parties seated near us also looking bored waiting for service. Certainly wouldn't return and a disappointing experience despite the complementary birthday desert. I would not recommend.

I stopped going to The Ivey Chelsea Garden about two years ago after a couple of bad experiences but wanted to give it another try and I'm so glad I did. Everything from the checkin to the service and food was very good. I have made another reservation and will continue to dine there as this is back to being a gem in my neighborhood!

It’s such a lovely venue and the tables in the garden are such an asset. Food is ok , service is ok, it’s good to know what to expect at the Ivy. The sad thing is the stone floor in the outside area is filthy and smells of a cheap pub beer garden not a prestigious dining experience.
