The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

The food and drinks at this restaurant are delicious. You are going to pay accordingly, but expect to have a solid meal and very good drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful — the restaurant is well decorated. It’s not too loud and not too crowded, which makes it feel pretty posh. However, we had a very odd experience with our server Nelson. He didn’t even say hello or good evening when we arrived and he just raised his eyebrows and said “yes please” when he took his notebook out to order. While I am all for efficiencies (I used to be a server and a bartender for 3 years), part of the hospitality business is…hospitality. This man expressed no smile, no emotion, and no sense of humanness. It was so weird. One of the ladies who appeared to be a manager came over to take our dessert order and she was very friendly, but we couldn’t understand why Nelson was so extremely cold. It appeared that this was his demeanor towards other tables as well. We arrived 5 mins early, didn’t take long to order drinks and food, and didn’t linger. What was his issue? We will never know. We will definitely be back to the Ivy, but will request to not have him as a server.

Was very cramped but it was Valentine’s Day day so understandable, food was expensive for what we got yet it was very tasty and filling. Location was unbelievable. Service was great. Although the alarm did go off several times which was a bit strange…

Food looks better than it tastes . To meat of the burger tastes like processed meat almost like fast food . Not up to the standards of the Ivy

The food was excellent; we loved everything we had, but were a little disappointed that vegetables were an expensive optional extra. We loved the wine options, though, and everything arrived quickly. It was very loud, with other patrons a bit too close, and there was lots of banging and clattering (and FIVE glass smashes by the bar behind us!). We'd love to come back when it's quieter, as we did like the staff and the restaurant's design. I think without the excessive noise we'd enjoy it more.

I booked the Ivy Chelsea Garden for my husbands birthday Beautiful surroundings lovely atmosphere food excellent I just wish that we were given more time in between courses felt it was rushed a little !

The food was disappointing. The fried zucchini was salty, the fish and chips was not fresh fish (it was smelly and chewy), the beef fillet was average. The blackened cod was good. Chelsea Ivy is our go to place but this time, it was quite embarrassing as we told our guests the food there is really good; we set high expectations but y fortunately they were not met.
