The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

Good food but restaurant very cramped. I was nearly sitting on top of my neighbours! Hitting elbows!!! However the snowman dessert was AMAZING! Also VERY noisy and had to shout over to each other.

To be honest the the decoration of the place was the only thing worth mentioning on the positive side. The service was below average for a good restaurant in London. The food was ok but i was not served what i asked. I asked for a sirloin medium rare and i got a rump steak medium well. I asked for a glass of red wine terraza de los andes (malbec) and i think i got a different wine, I am not a professional identifying wine but i don’t understand why as in all good restaurants they serve you the wine directly from the bottle at the table so then there are no doubts! I believe this place might be good to have some drinks with a group of friends but it is not a good value for money to have a proper dinner.

The Ivy always has a great atmosphere, making it a lovely place to visit. The service staff are helpful and kind, adding to the overall experience. However, it can be quite difficult to get the table you request, and seating seems somewhat random. The noise levels in the main room are also quite high, which can be distracting. This month, I visited twice. On my first visit, I had the sea bass, and on the second, the flat iron chicken. While both dishes were decent, there’s room for improvement in quality. The garnishes were minimal, and the sauce lacked flavor. Overall, I’d recommend The Ivy for its ambiance rather than its food.

It was a very good meal. Service and food were excellent. The table sitting was very good because it was in the conservatory bit and it was not as noisy as in the main restaurant.

Your don’t go to The Ivy for a culinary experience. The prawn cocktail was very good , the duck curry alas was not! However the service was fabulous and dining room gorgeous!
