The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

Food quality is excellent as always and afternoon tea was no exception! Especially the finger sandwiches were very good. It was however too crowded and busy which affected both the service quality and atmosphere negatively. Service really has room for improvement…

Service was slow and our food got lost. The queue outside was frustrating especially if you’d made a reservation.

We did have a problem with one of our dishes, but the incredibly professionally way in which it was dealt with made the evening even better. Ambiance and service in the conservatory was excellent and we had a lovely Thursday evening dinner.

I chose the Ivy Chelsea for a birthday dinner - I have been several times before & have always been pleased with the food & service. It was excellent & my friend was very pleased especially with her surprise birthday cake !

Our lunch wa absolutely exquisite, we sat in the “outdoor” area, which is beautifully decorated, it has an amazing vibe and was truly magical, with a view of the tremendous garden. Our host was called Nelson, what a kind, professional and wonderful ambassador he is to The Ivy. Another fabulous visit to the Ivy Chelsea Gatden. Thank you - Sally Marie. X

The environment, setting with plants was relaxing. The food was great and tasty. However the staff was not experienced therefore we had some minor disturbance such as giving our order, forgetting about the order etc. And also kitchen is so strict that they are not eager to change anything on the menu.

Very disappointed by the experience - really not up to The Ivy standards. The service was poor to say the least, from the wrong wine being brought to our table twice to having to ask for our plates to be cleared 30 minutes after we'd finished eating to having to get up to order the bill. The food quality was poor all around, in particular the burger which was overcooked. The food seems to have gone down majorly, which is a real shame. The price increases and are not in-keeping with the decreasing service and food quality. I would say The Ivy restaurants are the restaurants I frequent the most frequently and this experience has put me off returning.
