Service was very disappointing. Only one drinks order taken. Main course plates left on table for ages. Desert only offered when we asked for the bill after being tired of waiting for service and fed up with staring at empty plates. Clearly understaffed.

Considering the restaurant was not very busy, there did seem to be a lot of staff standing around instead of paying attention to guests...we sat with our empty dishes at our table for quite sometime before we had to call someone to clear away plates especially with staff walking past our table empty handed and taking no notice

Good experience at the Ivy Guildford Castle View couldn’t enjoy the view due to the weather but the staff and ambience made our experience feel great and warm. Quality of food is always top class, fish and chips portion from the children’s menu was shockingly big but we’re not complaining our 2 year old loved it. Shoutout to the waiter who helped us with our baby’s milk bottle. We’ll visit again when the weather is better.

A lovely evening. Slow to start with for drinks order but apart from that it was a lovely evening and the food was delicious. Thank you.

Coffee was unexpectedly bad cold and bitter. Black Cod was really mediocre too much sauce and lots of bones. Fried zucchini was tasteless all we taste was the fried oil. Squid portion was really small. Fish cake felt like cooked from frozen the crumb was so hard around it. Steak was good.

Had a family Lunch here and it was fabulous. Been to this restaurant many times and cannot fault the outstanding service and excellent food. The staff always work hard and are respectful, responsive and make this place a real occasion. Can’t fault it
