Had the Autumn menu for lunch, taking my 22yr old neice as a treat. I’m a regular here and come at least every couple of weeks. The glass of fizz wasn’t cold. The food was pretty good as always. The service was awful. Our waiter was smarmy from the very beginning - greetjng us as lovely/gorgeous ladies several times, which made both of us uncomfortable. He totally lost interest/ignored our table after the main course and all other staff ignored us too. It was really hard to put in an order for dessert but we managed it in the end. And to get the bill at the end took 10 minutes of me trying to catch someone’s attention and I was waving my hands in the air. Our waiter eventually saw this and brought the bill without any kind of acknowledgement or apology. The service has definitely deteriorated here over the past month or so. Please get it back to good!

Consistent as always but what have they done to the black cod? Used to be very lightly sauced and a delight now it’s more like BBQ ribs - smothered in so much sauce you can’t find the fish! Can we please have the old version back. Otherwise starters, service and ambience excellent as always.

Excellent fixed price set menu. Included all our favourites like shepherds pie and for pudding frozen berries !
