Normally excellent but today the restaurant was so busy, we sadly felt the quality of the Ivy was missing. we were served our English breakfast tea from a smaller milk jug as they wasn’t any normal size available so not even big enough to have a full cup of tea. when normally you get at least 2-3 cups. Also the muffins were burnt and cold.. it’s a shame because we were with people that had never been before and they wasn’t impressed.

Me and my partner had a great time for the NYE celebrations. Enjoyed the food especially the crème brûlée. Definitely would recommend.

We recently visited The Ivy Blackheath and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and full of flavor. Each dish was prepared with great care, and it was clear that high-quality ingredients were used. The menu offered a fantastic variety, catering to all tastes. What truly stood out, however, was how accommodating the team was with our newborn baby. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, providing a high level of service that made dining out with a baby stress-free and enjoyable. We can’t recommend The Ivy Blackheath enough for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a family-friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning!

Attentive staff , delicious food brought to us in good time on warm plates. Wine not amazing table rather close to thoroughfare and next table.

We live nearby and wanted to try The Ivy Cafe for a while now, and the festive season, with the festive menu set, seemed the perfect occasion. Alas, it's an experience partially delivered and I can't say we (couple) are fully satisfied. From the festive menu we elected: - Tempura squid, chicken skewers - Turkey Ballotine/ Steak - Ivy Signature dessert (snowman) and Ivy chocolate bomb Every food item was made to very high standards and we loved every bite of it. We also had one special request, which the restaurant could accomodate and we are very grateful for that. A few missed opportunities are worth mentioning: - the snowman signature dessert was supposed to be served with a glass bell and some "mist", however there was no mist only a glass bell - the chocolate bomb was also supposed to be served in a special way, with a box and some light effect ... but it was just brought us like a very normal dessert - the festive menu supposedly includes Christmas Crackers, but we didn't get them - nobody asked us if everything was ok when we requested/paid the bill, so I didn't share this feedback directly... I would suggest a quick check when paying or leaving the restaurant could help spot (possibly remedy) unfair treatments or missed opportunities Overall we appreciated the food, the environment and the staff has been really great.
