We were celebrating our daughter’s graduation. The food was fabulous . The service was outstanding this is what we love about the Ivy the staff are so amazing , our waiter was fabulous I don’t know his name but he was super also have to mention girl at reception was superb

Lovely meal with family for our daughter’s graduation. The lad who served us was brilliant. He was attentive friendly and got everything just right. Our meal was lovely. Drinks a plenty. The surroundings and ambiance just perfect.

Great service, atmosphere and ambience. Our server Ryan went out his way to ensure that we were looked after, especially on the gluten free options. You can lose hours in this place. Highly recommend

My partner and I went for dinner. We have been before & have enjoyed a great experience, so much so we have told our friends about it and, hence, one of my friends gave me a gift voucher of £50 for my birthday. This appeared to be repulsive for the staff greeting us at the door. I should stress, the printed voucher I had was basically a gift card; it did not say anywhere that it was only valid for a certain time, had to be used on a certain menu, any conditions of use other than it could not be exchanged for cash. I didn't know when to present it, so I checked. The chap laughed at first telling me the expiry had passed on the 7th of June! I found this quite offensive as my birthday is on the 10th of June and I am quite certain my friend wouldn't have given me an expired voucher! He then read it properly and corrected himself: "oh no, it says valid FROM the 7th!" which he seemed to find hilarious. He was very loud & it was quite embarrassing. His colleague showed us to our table in quite a curt manner and left us without even a "you're welcome" after us thanking her for showing us to the table. Bad start, but we stayed because I had the voucher to use and it was raining particularly heavily. On previous visits I'd accepted their offer of taking my coat however, as mentioned, the girl was apparently keen to get away from us & made no offer so I assumed they no longer offered this service. Sitting beside my 'quite-damp-coat', we enjoyed our starters: duck salad & chicken skewers, my chicken Milanese main however was rather bland & such a small portion, when it arrived I ordered a side of chips to make it up to a sensible sized meal. My partner's fish & chips was reportedly delicious. Desserts were delightful: the Ivy chocolate bombe - definitely recommend! There was a couple then sat next to us by the same girl & the first thing they're asked is if they want their coats hung up?! The manager apparently apologised from afar giving complimentary desserts.

The staff were very polite and outstanding in care , i had a lovely lunch with my husband and we liked all the dishes served to us Thank you for making out anniversary as special as it is and it will not be the last time to visit.

Ivy was crowded, busy . noisy with piped music . Outside rainy and windy but no-one offered to take my wet coat. We requested a quiet place and this was given. Service staff well trained and attentive. Food mediocre. Glass of wine very expensive. Will not go again as too noisy and food not special.

So very disappointed with our lunch. We have lunched here several times before but this experience was such that we’re unlikely to return. Despite an attentive waiter we waited for over an hour for our first course to be served, although several other tables who arrived after us had received their orders. Several of us had ordered the chicken Milanese with fried egg and truffle cream which arrived looking ok but actually was dried up. The eggs were overcooked as they had been kept warm before arriving at our table. The chicken dry and overcooked too. The waiter only asked if everything was alright when we left some of the meal. Probably we should have returned the dishes immediately but goodness knows when we would have got replacements. However the waiter seeing the state of the dishes should never have served them to us in the first place. We eventually left after nearly 2.5 hours having had only this main course and a coffee as the service was so slow. Truly not an experience to be repeated. In short a disaster.

The food was sub par, service was slow. When it was fed back that the dessert didnt taste good nothing was done about it. The staff didn’t seem to care! Wouldn’t be going back.
