I was visiting Bath and went to the Ivy for a birthday dinner. The food was delicious and the drinks were great, especially the salted caramel espresso martini. The service was really pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I would 100% recommend.

We chose the Ivy to celebrate my birthday. We were seated in the bar area but asked not to sit on bar stalls. The staff were very sympathetic and put us upstairs in the bar area which was quieter but with good atmosphere. They seated us at a comfortable table and we were very well looked after. We had a lovely meal- fish and chips and haddock/salmon fish cakes with peas then cheese and biscuits to follow. We had lovely cocktails and a wonderful evening. Thoroughly recommended.

The ambience could be fabulous but the loud music spoils it. Turn it down or, preferably, off!

Having chosen the Ivy Bath for a celebratory lunch, we left disappointed. The issue was that our order was incorrect and arrived erratically and we spent a considerable amount of time waiting for food. An apology or not being charged for the incorrect order would have gone a long way to improve our experience. The staff could have been a little bit more understanding of the situation.

We were warmly welcomed, with thoughtful attention given to our special occasion (retirement). The atmosphere was both relaxed and inviting, making for a comfortable and enjoyable setting. The table service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The food was not only delicious but also artfully presented, showcasing great care in every detail. While we were attentively looked after, our privacy was respected, and we never felt rushed. It was truly a wonderful and memorable evening.

We took family visiting from the US to the Ivy because it’s usually reliable for food quality and service. Lovely decor and overall food quality was good other than a steak which came medium well instead of medium rare as ordered. The wait was inordinately long between courses with no check-in and we had to flag our server down to enquire about status and bill was wrong so had to be corrected for overcharges. Disappointing.

Honestly delicious food and great service priced really reasonably too, cocktails are amazing and the chocolate bombe is to die for!
