In a restaurant with the reputation of the Ivy I expect top notch service. Food was great but our waiter not so much. We ordered a bottle of wine with our meal which didn't arrive. Asked for it again and then received. We then didn't get one of our starters and the other languished for a couple of minutes on the service station before being delivered. The wine was taken away from the table and then we had to ask twice for top ups. Maybe the waiter was having a bad night but I wouldn't rush back

Service levels not the usual ivy standards. Nearly an hour from sitting down to receiving main course. Food good , ambience usual buzz.

We are regular diners at The Ivy Bath on this occasion I was a little disappointed. We ordered The Breakfast Special, mixed berry smoothie very nice, the croissants & pain au chocolates came the same time as the breakfast. The bacon was well over cooked, the hash brown was several small grape sized balls, plum tomatoes was a half a tomato not cooked enough, the breakfast on the whole was not good value, I recommend stick to the full English same price £15.95. I love The butter milk pancakes with berries, greek yoghurt etc, but I noticed the diner on the next table ordered this and it came deconstructed not your normal lovely presentation. We will visit again as this is the first time this wasn’t up to The Ivy Standards

Fabulous food, beautiful decor and brilliant service. It was a great evening and my husband had a lovely 50th birthday meal. Thank you to everyone.

We have always been blown away with our visits to the Ivy in Bath, but sadly, Saturdays visit really let them down. We were seated promptly and asked what drinks we would like. My wife ordered their own named spritz only for the waitress to query what we were ordering, so we asked again, and she didn't seem aware of the drink - it's named after their establishment! She said it was possibly a new addition to the menu (really?) We ordered two burgers, both with extra cheese and one with extra bacon. When they arrived, we were both disappointed with the dryness of the burgers (the chips were amazing) We also noticed that my wife's burger did not come with the extra cheese. No one came over to check if everything was OK with our meals, so I had to beckon someone over to explain my wife's food was incorrect. They offered to replace it, but we didn't have time for that, so they just took the charge off the bill for the missing cheese. No apology from front of house management and really disappointing service overall, for what was supposed to be a great start to our weekend. I certainly won't be rushing back to The Ivy in Bath.

Friendly greeting and seated promptly. A long delay between drinks and food arriving even though we were there for afternoon. Kitchen wanted to serve vegan food, even though I had only requested lactose free. Only after I insisted did I get smoked salmon and chicken. I had fewer (and smaller) item than my wife's 'normal menu, and I had several versions of fruit as my 'cakes'.

My friend and I had a table opposite the bar - nice and quiet so good for conversation. The food was most enjoyable, as always, and perfectly served. However, the coffee was barely tepid instead of hot - I know, we should have mentioned it at the time! I love The Ivy - both in Bath and Clifton (where I used to work at NatWest Bank as the Manager’s Secretary). We shall book a table there very soon.
