This is a very popular restaurant and generally the feedback has been very good. I have to say that i was a little disappointed in some of the dishes. There were 4 of us and we shared many of the dishes. The prawns as starters were superb, the duck salad was delicious, again a starter, the main courses were a mixed bag. The lobster in fried rice was very oily and tasted too much of frying, my guest had beef and I tried a piece which was tough and chewy. The pork belly was superb as was the fish. The ambience is good and the staff were excellent. Perhaps we just chose the wrong dishes. I would go there again as the good dishes were very good.

We’ve dined at the Ivy Asia many times and are reward members so chose it once again for a joint Birthday celebration! (After a superb visit to St Paul’s last year for my son’s 18th) I decided on a starter and main versus our usual small plates. However was left disappointed as the rice which came with the curry was overcooked so basically ate the curry on it’s own. Given we had one drink each and dessert I found it expensive versus value for money. Normally I don’t eat again after a visit but did snack once home and not what you expect after spending £95 before service charge!! I’ll definitely rethink before a future visit. Also a suggestion for future might be to reward members on their bday with a dessert versus mochi although the sentiment is lovely. Last year we were given the red dragon complimentary as my son and I share a bday. So that was pretty special but possibly as 3 of us dining, his 18th.

Meal out for our daughters 21st birthday, Resturant was lively , quite noisy . Service was really good . Table was far too small for 6 of us.

The staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. The food, as always, was fabulous which all made for a great night out on our wedding anniversary. Thank you Ivy Asia, Guilford.

Very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Our coats were collected and as we were a little early, we were shown to the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Bar staff very friendly and service was perfect. After a while shown to our table. The menu options were explained which helped us with our ordering. The food was amazing. The Service and staff was outstanding. Yes expensive, but we knew that. And well worth it.

We went for my husbands 40th birthday. There was a little wait for the table as it was a Friday night and quite busy however the waiter and the manager was fantastic. Both knowledgeable and really friendly. A lovely little birthday treat (ice cream) with a happy birthday chocolate and candle was a fab gesture. Food was lovely and a dj was a good idea.

We had a 12.45 table booking but it felt like the majority of the tables also did! The staff were lovely but clearly understaffed/too many tables at the same time. We had to wait 25 minutes for someone to take our order and then our cocktails took another 25 minutes by which time 2 of our starters had already arrived. The other two starters then didn’t arrive so we had to chase for them. The steak that we had asked to be pink came well done and was tough. Everything took so long we ran out of time so didnt have dessert. We had booked to take our children there for the first time so it was such a shame. Other trips have been better so hopefully just a one off
