Have been here twice now and loved it both times. Such a great menu choice and all cooked to perfection. Only thing that let it down slightly this last time was the service - we had to top up own wine and were left waiting quite a long time for our food order to be taken. Staff were pleasant and brought us everything we asked for but we had to get their attention rather than anyone making sure we had everything we needed.

Service was very patchy. We had to continuously call waiters and waitresses to our table. One guy took our order but we never saw him again after that. Nobody asked us how it was going. One black girl helpfully suggested her favourite desserts. Staff were nice but very busy and often very hard to get their attention.

This is the first time we had been. We are a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. It was a most wonderful lunch. Exotic, friendly, delicious and characterful food and impeccable service.

The Ivy Asia is an enjoyable dining experience. The savoury dishes we had were delicious - shoutout for the king oyster mushroom gyoza & the miso cod (though note the cod is quite tiny for £37 and does not come with an accompaniment of any kind). The two cocktails we had were also both great. However the lantern dessert (£10.95) is not good at all - zero balance in flavour and just cloyingly sweet. Mirroring the chocolate bomb from the Ivy, in the lantern, a white chocolate sphere is filled with ice cream (and cream?) and has a pineapple infused caramel poured over it. I was intrigued by the theatrics, however it was pretty poor. On the whole we enjoyed it, however there is better food out there at that price point.

The good quality is good. The service is absolutely terrible. From the moment you walk in they don’t care about you to the moment you walk out. There is no attention to detail. You have to ask for simple things that should be brought with the good, like soya sauce, spoons etc. will not be returning

As indicated, the service and ambience were excellent, the food was very good and plentiful , overall an enjoyable meal. The bill was about £50 more than expected mostly due to minimal drinks and plentiful service charge. However that’s London, take it or leave it.
