The food was very good. Our issue was the service, or more correctly, the speed the dishes were served to us. We had the Premium Experience menu, 8 dishes and a dessert. Looking at the menu, the dishes are split into 4 groups followed by the dessert. We would expect a break between groups to appreciate what we just ate, clear our palate and be ready to enjoy the next group. Instead the dishes were piling up on the table with no break in between. It felt as if we were being rushed through the meal but we were there on a Monday at 16:00, it was quiet. Good food let down by the service.

It was my fist time visiting the Ivy Asia and the experience I received did not disappoint. We opted for the dragon set menu (lunch time between 12:00- 17:00) From the time we went in we were greeted by our assigned waiter (Rhys) who was very polite and helpful sharing best experiences on what to eat and drink. Thanks Rhys first class service provided by yourself. Food was really tasty, great value for money and the whole experience was just enjoyable I hope to return sometime 😁

Rhys and Will served us and they were so attentive and lovely, especially taking care of me and my allergies. Such a lush vibe and delicious meal, will be back again soon!

We had a great meal today. Will the server was fab and the lunchtime meal offer was brilliant value as well as gorgeous food. We enjoyed the fantastic decor and would recommend to anyone.

The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. The best restaurant in Cardiff. Wish there was one in Bristol

Excellent food and service. I found the place very noisey, music was loud, couldn’t hear my husband speaking to me opposite me on the table or even the waitress explaining to us how the menu worked. I also felt that the music wasn’t in line with the Asian feel and look, it felt more like being in a gym on a static bike doing a spin class.

My starter was more batter than vegetable and my lamb curry had 4 pieces of lamb. Really not good value at all
